Destino Oslo, the Spanish national final, kicks off in some hours after an online voting with almost 6 million votes decided on the ten finalists who will fight tonight for the honour of representing Spain in the Eurovision Song Contest 2010!

After some weeks of preparations and a weekend full of rehearsals, everything is ready for the Spanish national final in the Estudios Buñuel in Madrid. The presenters, Anne Igartibutu and Ainhoa Arbizu, have both announced the Spanish votes in the Eurovision Song Contest in previous years. The guest stars include Rosa and Sergio Dalma, who represented Spain in 2002 and 1991 respectively. The list of artists and songs taking part tonight, in no particular order, looks like this:

•Venus - Perfecta

•Ainhoa Cantalapiedra - Volveré

•Fran Dieli - Cuando Se Trata De Ti

•Samuel y Patricia - Perdoname

•Lorena - Amor Mágico

•José Galisteo - Beautiful Life

•Coral - En Una Vida

•John Cobra - Carol

•Anabel Conde - Sin Miedos

•Daniel Diges - Algo Pequeñito

The winner will be chosen by a mixture of a five-member jury and the televote in a 50/50 basis. TVE, the Spanish broadcaster, will provide a webcast on their site live from 22:15 CET.

Among the artists we find Anabel Conde, who was the runner-up in Europe's favourite TV show in 1995. Controversial rapper John Cobra, who came 2nd in the online voting mostly thanks to the massive help of a very popular internet forum. Daniel Diges, a highly experienced musical and television performer and the winner of the online voting Coral, who came close to represent Spain in 2008, when she was only beaten by the media phenomenon Rodolfo Chikilicuatre.

In the period 2002-2004 Spain used the highly succesful TV format Operación Triunfo (OT) to decide the act and song that would represent them in the Eurovision Song Contest. This year's line-up sees no less than six among the ten acts coming from the OT academy: 2006's winner Lorena, 2003's winner Ainhoa Cantalapiedra, Fran Dieli and Jose Galisteo, who reached the finals in their OT edition and the band Venus, including two OT ex-participants. Samuel y Patricia are two of the most recent contestans of the casting show.

Last year it was Soraya, one of the most succesful OT contestants, who won the ticket to Moscow, where she got a disappointing 23rd place in the final with La Noche Es Para Mi.

Oh sorry  I meant Daniel Diges
After listening to all of them (actually skipping half :puke: ) I'm saying that the Top 10 is $h!t. Apart from 3 songs. Coral is still the Goddess come down to our sinful Earth.

after all the hype on this forum, I'm downloading Coral as we speak - not heard it yet, shall report back in three minutes :P

edit: wow  it's like a Timbaland production gone into overdrive. I love how it builds up and up and up and then ends incredibly abruptly  decent on first listen, will grow I'm sure too.

José Galisteo or Coral would be my preferred choices out of those. The only other song there that caught my attention was Perfecta.

Totally agree with you, just like I said :D

Here's the running order for tonight:

1-VENUS

2-AINHOA CANTALAPIEDRA

3-FRAN DIELI

4-LORENA

5-SAMUEL Y PATRICIA

6-JOSE GALISTEO

7-JOHN COBRA

8-ANABEL CONDE

9-DANIEL DIGES

10-CORAL

And there will be a webcast for international viewers after all :)

Coral has GOT it hasn't she? :w00t:

Let's not jump to conclusions until she's performed. I think with that running order Daniel Diges is favourite at the moment.

Listening to songs made me think how on EARTH could people possibly pick some particular ones???!! There were a lot better ones in the big online voting list :(
I miss their uptempo latin-pop-dance tracks like Beth - Dime and Raúl - Sueño Su Boca

Well I suppose they've got José Galisteo this year, which is a more contemporary variation on that style.

Coral better win! She's the only one who got REAL chance to suceed in Oslo imo. Galisteo's song is good but it's so boring now, plus unless he's gonna perform something mindblowing on that stage i doubt he's got a chance to win, number 3 at best.

Yay, Coral :cheer: I can't wait for this final, 15 minutes :cheer: I like about six songs but would only really be happy with a Coral/Venus/Jose win.

I do agree by the way Dre, Dime and Sueno Su Boca were amazing, but they tried uptempo dance last yeat and it didn't work :(

Will be extremely gutted if Coral finished that close again this year like in 2008. :nocheer:
