I do like Electra Heart, at first it seemed like nothing special but all of the songs are listenable at least. Nothing stands out to be fair, but as a whole I think the album works.
8.0 // Bubblegum Bitch 9.0 // Primadonna 7.0 // Lies 7.5 // Homewrecker 7.0 // Starring Role 7.0 // The State Of Dreaming 6.5 // Power & Control 6.5 // Living Dead 8.0 // Teen Idle 8.0 // Valley Of The Dolls 8.0 // Hypocrates 6.5 // Fear and Loathing Yeah, they're all pretty average, but at least there's nothing awful. A few of the songs do mingle into one though, to be fair. |

tickets to go and see her in manchester are still on sale for £20, not sure whether to go or not seen as I'd be going by myself, but I don't want to miss out as she looks really good live.

She's re-jigged the tracklisting for the US release and it's all quite no1curr but there's a new song called 'How To Be A Heartbreaker' on it and there's a preview here:

Not sure if it's been posted anywhere else, it's been online for a few days now, but it's the next UK single and it's also the second US single. It's a decent song; it really sounds like a leftover track that didn't make the cut, but it's going to do better than anything already on the album so... |

Really don't like Heartbreaker, I think Lies should have been the second single. I know it would flop but State Of Dreaming needs to be a single at some point its amazing.

I thought this being the next single was just rumours - they've given up on the current album quite quickly, no? Lies is still waiting for a release. That said, this is a lovely song and the "at least I think I do" part is RATHER AMAZING. Hope it does well for her.

DigitalSpy seem to be confirming it as the next single.
They're also running something about Marina planning to release 6 singles from Electra Heart, which is quite ridiculous and also quite believable.

It's up to the label really. I like HTBAH as a single choice but I feel like it's too early for a new track as a single, not to mention an album re-release few months after its original one. That said I hope we finally get the boys packaging of the album when it's re-released plus a better artwork please! |

This just makes me so sad, it's awful! Lies would have at least brought the era back on track in terms of songs I like but I'm starting to struggle to find any kind of reason to carry on liking her now. The majority of this album has been such trash

What really happened with this album, it got to number 1, not with great sales but still. Primadonna sold well enough, so whats caused this sudden disinterest in the whole era. I thought it started off well and now Power and Control is doing nothing, and its all gone a bit quiet.

As much as Power and Control has grown on me, it is a crazy single choice. The "women and men we are the same" is a nice hook but it's not enough for it to be a single.

It took me a few days but MY GOD How To Be A Heartbreaker is amazing! Totally generic and you can tell that they're and you can tell they're simply pushing for a hit but it's so so good. Can't stop playing it, 3rd best thing this era behind Radioactive and Fear & Loathing imo!
Very much doubt it will be the song that gets her an actual hit though. |

Apparently she wrote it when the UK album was going to print, so it's not just a leftover.
It's a great song, I think it'll do a lot better than Power & Control will ever do. |

It's rather Katy Perry / Jessie J. I quite like it but I really hope it's not an indication of where her music is headed. It pales next to the rest of the album.

Primadonna is doing very well on New Zealand's iTunes! It's at number #7! Currently at #55 in Australia, hopefully it can rise there!
