New Releases:
005. Conor Maynard - Contrast
006. Delilah - From the Roots Up [Deluxe Edition]
008. Rick Ross - God Forgives, I Don't [Deluxe Edition]
020. Conor Maynard - Contrast
021. Mike Oldfield - Two Sides: The Very Best of
024. Delilah - From the Roots Up
100. Joshua Radin - Underwater [Deluxe Version]

115. Testament - Dark Roots of Earth [Bonus Version]
129. Kyla La Grange - Ashes
161. Kyla La Grange - Ashes [Deluxe Edition]

264. Various Artists - Step Up 4: Miami Heat
376. The Flaming Lips - The Flaming Lips and Heady Friends
519. Joshua Radin - Underwater

Out of Conor Maynard and Delilah for number one, I'm thinking more Conor Maynard with sales of about 30k. I also think Plan B will remain Top 5 and Gaslight Anthem possibly just inside or just outside the Top 10.

Conor Maynard: #01 on HMV, #23 on play.com
Delilah: #07 on HMV, #43 on play.com

There is no chance of Blur 21 getting top 40, the package is 145.00, that's if anyone has got that money to shed out.

Pretty impressive for Delilah to get a top 10 entry this week.

Agreed - one week in the low Top 75 and then probably out of the Top 200.

IIRC a mega expensive Beatles boxset got into the top 40 once, Blur could do it as well. Unlikely though.

What's with the Rick Ross album doing so well?

Beatles in Stereo (16 disc) reached #24 on release in October 2009, which is currently priced at £231 on HMV - that's probably the one you mean. SO expensive!

But it's not the most expensive, there's also:
Beatles in Mono (13 disc) reached #57 on release in October 2009, which is currently priced on HMV at £271!!

Isles of Wonder: Music For The Opening Ceremony is still strong at #1 on iTunes. Now 82 is #2, and Rick Ross #3. Conor Maynard #4 (#1 in midweeks) and Delilah is at #5!

Calvin & Example's EP is at #8 and Wiley's is at #11. Both going to have huge sales this week ohmy.gif

Hopefully Blur can grab a place in the top 75 but im not expecting it to happen, with the times thats in it £145 is alot of money and a hell of a lot to spend on cd's.

I think it's Emeli vs. Maroon 5 (manson.gif) for the #1 album this week with an outside chance of Plan B returning, but whoever gets it it'll be on similar sales to Emeli's last return to #1 if not lower. The only one of the week's new releases I can see even challenging the top 20 is Antony And The Johnsons' new album.

I'm not sure how well that will perform, its only available on download format, plus its an EP, its not going to do a Frank Ocean.

Personally I can't see any new entries charting top 30 ohmy.gif Maybe Antony & The Johnsons

Pre-orders top 200:

22. Bom Bom (Remixes) - EP - Sam and the Womp
26. Babel (Deluxe Version) - Mumford & Sons
54. Wings (Remixes) - EP - Little Mix
57. Language - EP - Porter Robinson
74. How We Do (Party) - EP - Rita Ora
82. Watchtower (feat. Ed Sheeran) - EP - Devlin
104. Coexist - The xx
105. White Light - EP - George Michael
106. Babel - Mumford & Sons
150. The Truth About Love (Deluxe Version) - P!nk
174. My Head Is an Animal - Of Monsters and Men
183. The 2nd Law (Deluxe Edition) - Muse
187. #3 (Deluxe Version) - The Script
196. Summer Paradise - EP - Simple Plan

'Bom Bom' is going to be massive sadly, can't see it opening on less than 100k now. Why couldn't Molly just be the big novelty dance hit of the year sad.gif

'Language' released next week and it's doing better than 'How We Do (Party)' - I would actually DIE (in a good way) if Porter can somehow beat Rita to #1! Although I'm not actually sure Rita is going to hit #1 anyway, I have a feeling it's going to underperform and enter at like #4/5...

Hopefully 'Babel' will avoid the curse of second albums by indie acts (i.e. first album = takes ages to peak after a fairly poor start but sticks around in the chart forever and sells loads, second album = straight in at #1 with mega sales but out of the chart within months and barely sells half of the first album in total). Same for 'Coexist'. Although I wouldn't mind the mega first week sales, just want them to have some longevity!

I don't think this makes sense, did you mean "isn't going to be massive" or "can see it opening"?

"Is going to be massive" and "can't see it opening on less than 100k" fit together. smile.gif
