I saw bits of in the "coming soon in 2011" ad by BBC in January and it looked good (mainly because Jo Joyner's in it) -- I'll give it a go because of her, it'll be nice to see her portray another character seeing as the contrast between Lynda with a Y and Tanya would make you think they're played by different actresses!

Jo Joyner is actually a really versatile actress. She played what was essentially quite a horrible character on No Angels deliciously.

don't ask why i was watching loose women earlier but i was and they showed a clip of it on there and it looked really good. reminded me a bit of fat friends because it's up north and the scene was them all weighing themselves after starting on the atkins diet.
is it going to be a daytime show or like after eastenders kinda time? |

I think it's about 8:30 or 9PM, Tuesdays, which is a great primetime slot!

Did we watch this in the end then? I thought it was decent but primarily what I expected. A bit all over the shop in places but nice enough to keep me watching for next week anyway. Nice cast too, and it was nice enough light-relief on the whole if you ignored the fact it was all a bit naff in places.

I really enjoyed it too. Jo Joyner. The accents were a bit all of over the shop though...

Jo Joyner's accent was REALLY weird Her accent was just really stupid, but I really enjoyed the show, she was brilliant as Jackie! Deffo watching next week, Ricky Whittle guest stars!

I thought it was rather good actually! I agree with most that the cast was good, and I liked that there were lots of stories going on at once. Jo Joyner was really good, but the accent took a bit of getting used to -- I really liked her scene near the beginning where she was speaking to the dead friend over a glass of wine. I'll tune in to the next two editions though, definitely!

JODIE PRENGER IS IN IT? Oh my God. I was going to watch but now I'm not sure I can. I do so DETEST that CREATURE. She was barely in the first episode and only had one scene in last night's episode - she won't ruin your viewing. It was another good episode last night, although it happened a bit quickly with the wedding planning and the girls getting to know the bride and everything, but I guess that was just to keep it in the space of one episode. I could tell from last week that something would happen with Elaine and her brother-in-law, but I'm glad she got back with her husband in the end. Poor Jackie being cheated on by the married man though! |
