We're having a sweepstake at work so I'll choose my horse(s) tomorrow. Hope I pick the winner as I stand to win £100.
Will no doubt be putting a bet on Saturday morning. Any tips? I'm thinking this years winning horse will be from Ireland (gut instinct). |

Watch out who you bet with tomorrow - Paddy Power have started offering 1-2-3-4-5-6 on the places, so it's likely that other bookmakers will follow suite.

Well I had two gos on the work sweepstake. I first picked our Faazle (?) at 100/1 then was told it wasn't running so I got to pick again. Got Quinz at 20/1 (much better - Quinz rhymes with "wins" so it's all good). The other horse I picked was Can't Buy Time at 50/1. A blatant DONKEY.

Quinz looks a good bet. Price is too short for me though. Not old enough or experienced enough to win, although it has got good place claims.

My money's on:
Oscar Time (Main bet) becauseicouldntsee Tidal Bay Hello Bud Rhythm Dancer West End Rocker Grand Slam Hero Silver By Nature My Dad gave me some money for a flutter, so that's why I've got three extra horses. I had a shortlist of about 18 horses that I thought could win it/get placed. Really is complete luck. |

I've also had a bet this morning and decided to back Oscar Time and Backstage (50p each way, I'm not made of money). Still got Quinz in the sweepstake so any of these will be good (especially Quinz as that'll be £100 in the pocket ).

Seven of my horses fell.
Oscar Time came close, thought he might just pip it at the end, didn't have enough left in him though. Ah well, almost got my money back from my bets... |
