Adele #1
One of the foreign albums is probably 2NE1's NOLZA.
Gaga is one of the UK #1 albums.

I predict the top 5 singles will be (in no particular order) The Saturdays, Lady GaGa x2, Rihanna and Adele

QUOTE(Oricon @ Dec 5 2011, 11:54 PM) Adele #1 One of the foreign albums is probably 2NE1's NOLZA. Gaga is one of the UK #1 albums. I can reveal two of these are wrong, one is right.

OK, kicking off the albums....
25 Nicola Roberts - Cinderella's Eyes

Kicking things off for us is the debut solo album from the arguably the most overlooked member of GA, Team Ginge's own Nicola Roberts! I've always loved her voice so I was definitely anticipating this upon the news she was recording a solo album, and boy did she deliver! There are a lot of different styles on this album, credible pop-rap/dubstep like Beat Of My Drum, perky anthemic pop like Lucky Day and even a heartfelt ballad (Sticks & Stones). This all makes for a surprisingly good album from 'the ginger one who never sings', on par with Cheryl's efforts for me!
Top 5: 01 Sticks & Stones 02 Porcelain Heart 03 Lucky Day 04 Beat Of My Drum 05 Yo-Yo
My chart peak: 2 UK chart peak: 17
Personal chart history: 01 Beat Of My Drum 09 Lucky Day
24 Brooke Fraser - Flags

In a bit of a different direction now, Brooke is a New Zealand folk/pop singer who's seen virtually no UK success bar Something In The Water making number 186 or something equally undeserved (at least 180 places higher plz.)! This is a great album of it's type, and is a natural progression to these ears from her earlier albums. I think if radio picked her up, she could manage even just a top 40 album (which would be great) - I mean Radio 2 playing Something In The Water a tiny bit made it go top 200!
Top 5: 01 Something In The Water 02 Betty 03 Coachella 04 Orphans, Kingdoms 05 Here's To You
My chart peak: 1 UK chart peak: N/A
Personal chart history: 12 Something In The Water 09 Betty 37 Coachella

QUOTE(Oricon @ Dec 7 2011, 05:25 PM) What? I thought Adele would be your #1 song of the year like you said 3-4 weeks ago And I thought 2NE1 would make it since you charted nearly all of their songs but I guess not The one that must be right must be Gaga's album. No way has it not charted I don't remember saying that

And how is 'Take A Bite' not in your top 5 of 'Cinderella's Eyes'?! It's my favourite! Although 'Sticks + Stones' is my #2 so you've won a bit of your credability back
It most certainly better not be! Although I'm certain it's in your top 10 Reminds me that I've gotta do one of these...

I love the spoken breakdown in it! I generally prefer the 'out-there' moments in the album rather than the ones that sound 'nice'.
I do, but no way does it deserve to be in anyone's top 10 of the year! It's just so average and MoR, she's had much better songs

23 Dev - The Night The Sun Came Up
Now this kind of act generally don't do good albums, but Dev defied this and produced a varied and solid album! Lead single Bass Down Low is a sleek electro-hop number, while second single In The Dark is a Eurodance banger that owes a thing or two to the recent Romanian dance popularity! Dev also goes soppy on Perfect Match and clubby on Breathe. All in all, Dev defies her genre's taboo on albums and produces an album not just of generic club bangers and sleezy hip-hop, but also brilliant pop tracks and even some full on rock in Take Her From You.
Top 5: 01 Take Her From You 02 Lightspeed 03 Breathe 04 In The Dark 05 Bass Down Low
Personal chart history: 31 Bass Down Low 02 In The Dark
22 Jessie J - Who You Are
I'm not going to deny this was an overhyped album but it wasn't entirely undeserved imho. Jessie burst onto the scene with Do It Like A Dude in late 2010, emerging as one the faces we'd surely see a lot more of in 2011. And boy did we see... Price Tag was a mega-hit, hitting number 1 and selling around 900k to date! The album also debuted at number 2 and has sold steadily. Musically, this is a surprisingly versatile album without being too 'try-hard' to fit it all in. We see cocky Jessie on Do It Like A Dude, jazzy Jessie on big-band sounding Mama Knows Best, carefree Jessie in the breezy hit Price Tag, guilty Jessie in Nobody's Perfect and (at her best) emotional Jessie in Who You Are.
Top 5: 01 Who You Are 02 Price Tag 03 Nobody's Perfect 04 Do It Like A Dude 05 Abracadabra
Personal chart history: 02 Do It Like A Dude 02 Price Tag 08 Nobody's Perfect 05 Who You Are 08 Domino
21 Kate Bush - 50 Words For Snow
Although Kate is one of my top 20 artists ever, I must admit the concept of the album didn't excite me an awful lot at first. I mean only 7 tracks (7 long tracks), themed around snow and with an ambient theme? But I'm glad I tentatively listened because it's a captivating listen for this time of year, the concept is handled perfectly. It's not an album to take lightly however, it only really hit me when I listened through earphones snuggled up in bed on a particularly cold night. My personal favourite track is Among Angels, I've not seen much love for it but it just grabs me each listen!
Top 5: 01 Among Angels 02 Snowflake 03 Snowed In At Wheeler Street 04 Wild Man 05 Misty
Personal chart history: 41 Wild Man 50 Among Angels (as an album track)
