May 12, 201313 yr I guess Les Miserables will be top 10 next week, or even top 5 with the DVD out tomorrow. And I believe BBC3 are televising Emeli Sande at the Royal Albert Hall tonight 8pm to 9pm :D
May 12, 201313 yr Ooh, Lana Del Rey in the Top 50! Wasn't expecting that, though I haven't been paying attention to iTunes this week. Hopefully it can climb into the Top 40, it's a beautiful song. Uh oh at that #35-#95 drop for Misha B. :( Another well done to Caro Emerald debuting at number one! :cheer: I was expecting Emeli Sande to overtake all the new entries this week (aside Caro Emerald and Hugh Laurie), but it only did so to Noah and the Whale. Perhaps it's time in the Top 10 is almost up?
May 12, 201313 yr And I believe BBC3 are televising Emeli Sande at the Royal Albert Hall tonight 8pm to 9pm :D That means it will be back in the Top 3! :P
May 12, 201313 yr Albums 37 NE 01 Armin Van Buuren Intense :cheer: Great to see the best album of 2013 entering in the top 40!
May 12, 201313 yr :cheer: Great to see the best album of 2013 entering in the top 40! Graffiti on the Train has been top 40 for 10 weeks now :smoke:
May 12, 201313 yr Author The OCC have lumped the sales of Knife Party's EP to track 1 then. I think I've figured out their policy on this, if the EP has a title track or a near title track the sales go to that, otherwise they go to track 1. The latter situation also applied to Lady Gaga's 'A Very Gaga Christmas' EP whose sales went to 'White Christmas'. That considered, perhaps Monica Heldal deserves a featured credit on Ben Howard's '[The] Burgh Island [E.P.]' :P Van Morrison has broken his duck of never charting with 'Brown Eyed Girl', unless you only count the top 75 of course. Why is it that whenever it looks like it's FINALLY about to depart the top 10, the industry seems to cobble together another way to give it a boost?! :drama:
May 12, 201313 yr Yes Caro :cheer: Got to be the first time in a LONG time since the #1's on the singles and album chart have both been the same in my personal chart :o

May 12, 201313 yr I find it interesting to compare how Passenger's and Macklemore's albums are doing. Macklemore have now had 2 huge hits yet their album still hasn't really taken off, whereas Passenger has had just 1 hit, which probably isn't close to peaking yet, and yet his album has already been propelled to near the top of the chart. I suppose that just confirms that super-mainstream pop/urban acts need a few big hits to convince people that their album's worth investing in, whereas more "credible" singer-songwriters (as well as rock/indie bands) generally get more benefit of the doubt and just one hit is enough to convince those sorts of fans to buy the album. With that said, I do think if 'Same Love' is a hit then that might finally get Macklemore's album to ignite. Edited May 12, 201313 yr by Danny
May 12, 201313 yr Well done to Savages getting a top 20 album! :cheer: Haim almost out the top 100 with 'Falling' - surely one of the best/most underrated pop songs of the year :(

At the beginning of the year, literally all of my friends were listening to The Heist.
May 12, 201313 yr Haim almost out the top 100 with 'Falling' - surely one of the best/most underrated pop songs of the year :( Nope. Pleased with the charting of 'Nocturnes' even if it'll be straight out of the top 100 next week. #45 for the second album of a 'Sound of' winner is of course terrible but considering Boots' situation it's pleasing and bodes well for future charting albums. Pleased to see 'Young and Beautiful' surging, though it's a pity Radio 1 aren't getting on board :(

What are you smoking? Even if she's funding it herself, she'll like make a massive loss on this.
