Personally, I can see the semis going something like this
Semi One 01 Hungary 02 Sweden 03 Ukraine 04 Armenia 05 Russia 06 Azerbaijan 07 Estonia 08 Moldova 09 Montenegro 10 Portugal -------------------- 11 Netherlands 12 Iceland 13 Latvia 14 San Marino 15 Belgium 16 Albania Semi Two 01 Norway 02 Romania 03 Malta 04 Greece 05 Poland 06 Israel 07 Macedonia 08 Austria 09 Lithuania 10 Slovenia ---------------------- 11 Ireland 12 Finland 13 Switzerland 14 Belarus 15 Georgia Ireland is one I could see getting lost and being the token 'shock' non qualifier (there's always one at least). Other than that I think it's fairly cut and dry, Ireland, Finland and Netherlands are the most likely to sneak in and ruin my predictions. |

For some reason I don't think Sweden are as safe as everyone thinks. I do think they'll qualify, but I think Sanna will be around 8th rather than the top 3 in the semi!
I know no-one will agree with me, but it's just my opinion before everyone starts arguing with me!

Had we been talking about the 2009 contest where everything was top notch I'd be inclined to agree, but her semi couldn't define average any more if it tried. Undo is by FAR the best produced and most melodic song in the semi imo and Sanna will almost certainly deliver the best vocal on the night.
That said I still can't shake the feeling that as life's perennial underachiever she's doomed to fail after years of waiting to go to Eurovision  But if that happens then it will happen in the final, I could potentially see her 'doing a Portugal 2008/Iceland 2010' and doing incredibly in the semi only going to fall significantly in the final, but I hope not as I want her to do as well as possible!

So being brave, and/or stupid I'm going to go for some predictions
 Semi 1 1 Hungary 2 Ukraine 3 Armenia 4 Montenegro 5 Azerbaijan 6 Sweden 7 Belgium 8 Iceland 9 Netherlands 10 Russia --- 11 Albania 12 Portugal 13 San Marino 14 Estonia 15 Moldova 16 Latvia Albania and Portugal are both borderline, I think Russia will just qualify to piss everyone else off though. Netherlands will get good jury votes. I actually really like Moldova and Latvia but don't see where their votes are coming from. Semi 2 1 Norway 2 Austria 3 Romania 4 Malta 5 Macedonia 6 Greece 7 Israel 8 Ireland 9 Poland 10 Lithuania --- 11 Slovenia 12 Georgia 13 Switzerland 14 Finland 15 Belarus More clear cut I think, although Georgia MAY scrape qualification (let's face it, they always do). Final 1 Austria 2 Norway 3 Hungary 4 Ukraine 5 Spain 6 Armenia 7 Romania 8 United Kingdom 9 Azerbaijan 10 Malta 11 Montenegro 12 Macedonia 13 Sweden 14 Poland 15 Greece 16 Iceland 17 Italy 18 Denmark 19 Belgium 20 Russia 21 Germany 22 Ireland 23 Lithuania 24 Israel 25 France 26 Netherlands I think Austria has the Dana Internation/Lordi factor, the casual viewer will be shocked, but then think "wow, this is great" though it'll be pretty tight with Norway. I may be underpredicting Denmark here, but mostly cos it's a bit shit. Armenia will do well but doesn't scream winner to me. If Russia qualify (which would shock noone, although I do think there's an outside chance of it not happening) then their friends will keep them out of the bottom five. I don't see Latvia coming last in the semi, it comes across as a memorable novelty entry that will probably score well in the televoting. I don't think it will completely bomb with the juries either, it's melodic at least.
