Welcome to Chesterfield, a town situated in Derbyshire and most well known for the Crooked Spire! The final heat of Buzzfestivalen 2014 is coming live from the local football stadium, a venue which this summer will see performances from Tom Jones, Union J, Lawson, Labrinth and Katy B! Not that any of them compare to what we have here, so let's meet the final eight acts fighting for a chance to go straight to Grimsby... 1 / Alcazar - Blame It On The Disco Should we just declare this (overrated) bunch the winners of the heat NOW? Not if out and proud haters Liam and Robot get their way. If there's one result I'd expect to mirror the Swedish televote it would be this Fredrik Kempe camp-fest. 2 / I.D.A. - Fight Me If You Dare With likely good reason, all memories of this have been wiped from my mind already. Still, they managed to avoid bottom two in the televote at the expense of Josef and Janet. Dare I say last place or are there some fans lurking in the woodwork? 3 / Janet Leon - Hollow Since crashing out of the Melodifestivalen 2013 heats with the fabulous "Heartstrings", Janet Leon has gone on to participate in the BuzzJack Song Contest for Aquafina with the track "New Colours (Lee Wallace's Gay Pride Anthem)". Now she's back with a slower entry and doing even worse than last year! I doubt the good folk on BuzzJack will let her languish in 8th place here... 4 / Ammotrack - Raise Your Hands LOOK, Eyes, I can tolerate State Of Drama and even Outtrigger are passable but just NO at these. I think it's fair to say that the UK are more likely to send Adele to Eurovision before BuzzJack puts this crap through over Linda Bengtzing! 5 / Josef Johansson - Hela natten The second biggest pleasant surprise of this year (after Ace Wilder of course) was this Swedish tune from Peter Boström and Thomas G:son. Sadly it underperformed in a heat not even that strong (imo), only managing to avoid last place, but I'm hopeful that wrong can be righted and Josef can at least sail through to AC here. 6 / Linda Bengtzing - Ta mig Linda failed to make the Melodifestivalen final for the first time with her participation this year, finishing a good 10,000 votes behind 4th place. Will she be joining Shirley Clamp in going DTG? I wouldn't bet against it! 7 / Ellinore Holmer - En himmelsk sång Now this yawn-fest managed to overachieve based on odds, comfortably making it to AC in 3rd place before narrowly avoiding last place once it got there. Will it have as much luck in Buzzfestivalen? Well I'm sorry dear but I do hope not! 8 / Anton Ewald - Natural Finally, the last act to introduce is Anton Ewald who came to prominence during the contest last year with "Begging", which went through AC, made the final and sailed into 4th place. Well, HA. Back with a weaker attempt this year, Anton qualified straight for the final, opened his big mouth and promptly found himself at the bottom of both the jury vote and the televote. Still, the song isn't that bad and if it was down to me it would still come somewhere in the top 4 here.. Format like this please 12 10 08 06 04 02 01 00 Alcazar - Blame It On The Disco I.D.A. - Fight Me If You Dare Janet Leon - Hollow Ammotrack - Raise Your Hands Josef Johansson - Hela natten Linda Bengtzing - Ta mig Ellinore Holmer - En himmelsk sång Anton Ewald - Natural Please send your votes via PM to myself, Jáhq. The deadline is 23:59 Wednesday 2nd April and I shall present the results the following evening. Votes from: Jáhq Conderella≥ gooddelta LexC AdamAloud Liam J▣hnkm AlexRus Robot Vülker Sabrewulf Cassandra O Mie Jerick Eyes Tom Kay Aaron. |

Votes be sended~
Might as well ask this question in here now, for my Arundel Castle adjacent Andra Chansen round, do people want full duels? or the 2013 & 2014 system? |

Voted. Not a strong heat by any means, I wanted to give 3 songs no points! But the highlights more than make up for those.

Hardly matters since the overall Top 2 will qualify anyway, right?
Unless this overcomplicated voting system that reassigns votes of the DNQs will be used. |

If you have randomised duels the overall top two won't go through necessarily. If anything there's the chance the 1st and 5th favourites of the round would be the qualifiers. I'd just have everyone rank 1st to 8th then fit 'duels' around the results during the announcement.

Oh my god I actually completely forgot there used to be just random duels. Ha! It's not even been that long since they had that system. Thought they always used the vote for Top 4 and then do the duels kind of stuff. Awks~
I say go for the completely random duels, like in <2013 years. So much more excitement this way~ |

Only I think in that case random duels should probs be posted in the thread before the voting, to make it fair oops (that LexC is a shady queen~), like in 2012 for example.

Voted.
Only really wanted to give points to 3 songs. The other five are complete 00 moments to me. My nul points went to the worst performance of the year, sorry Janet. |

I have NEVER claimed Ammotrack! It's all about I.D.A in this heat, Jáhq

ROSTIED. I'm pleased that Natural hasn't grown on me the same way Yes We Can did.
