This might sound daft considering how young most members are on here, but do you notice yourself aging? I'm only 25 but definitely see faint lines around my eyes, whether this is normal or not for my age I don't know. I guess it comes from spending too much time on the laptop staring at a screen. I've no lines anywhere else though thankfully.. yet!

Found a gray hair the other day, at 23. My dad's is completely white and he's not even 50. I'm doomed!

I have an alarming amount of grey hair too, but it's mostly hidden from view thankfully. I do have LOADS of lines round my eyes, but then I also blame that on having an EXPRESSIVE FACE (like just in normal chatter I'll go through like 100 different facial expressions) so at least I know I've LIVED.

Not to make you jealous or anything, but I'm 23 and could probably still easily pass for 17. Just the other day someone came to the door and asked "Are your parents home?" I'm not sure I particularly like it, I would like to maybe look a little older or more manly.

People regularly think I'm like 28 (I'm 24), I put it down to the beard *straw clutching*

Usually though I find people that look older when they are young tend to not age as rapidly in later life as those who look younger than they are in their late teens/20's (anecdotal evidence, natch)

I wouldn't even mind grey hair. It's baldness I'm terrified of, at least you can dye grey hair while it's still there.

I hear baldness isn't so bad if you have good facial hair. Plus it gives you an excuse to wear a hat. Or shave your head, I'm not huge on hair-what little I have left grows too fast.

I would never dye my hair to hide greys.

I'd say it's better than looking older (soz guys)

Well it is when you get past your 22nd or something, before that it is highly annoying that nobody believes you are nearly 20 and refuse to let you in a club because they suspect you of faking your ID (not speaking from personal experience of course. Nope not at all)

Like Umi, baldness scares me a lot. My father and both of my brothers have it, but my hair is different from theirs, so I might be avoiding the family curse right here. My hair is my everything and one of the few things I'm proud of.

I don't care if I go bald in like my 40s-50s but I have this horrible fear of being bald by my mid-20s and that would be a nightmare. I don't want to be an EGG.

Like I said, I'm mid twenties now and although I'm not bald, my hair has begun to thin and recede and you can't say I have a FULL head of hair. I did worry about it but got over it. It hasn't thinned as much as my dad's has (he is 30 years my senior though) but by the look of my family, I won't go completely bald. My hair is actually still quite thick except for the front and that is ever so annoying.

I've had grey hairs since I was 20, I'm not too bothered and there's not too many but they are noticable. Given everyone else in my family it was always obvious I'd lose it and go grey, I'd just like to keep it until I'm mid-30s...

For signs of ageing- I'd say having just got back from a beer festival at the weekend, that the hangover was one of the worst I've ever had; and therefore I am no longer youthful. sad.gif

As for losing hair, I'd much prefer to go grey than go bald (hardly a surprise!), but I think given my Dad's receding hairline I think it is pretty much inevitable in the future sadly. Thankfully I still have a full head of hair at the moment, but I doubt for much longer. Last year I go ID'd to get in to a club and I was TWENTY SEVEN at the time, she was really embarrassed when I showed her my passport (which I have to use as ID because I don't have a drivers licence) but it happens very rarely thesedays.
