V: films and food and friends
S: work
D: work then work meeting then work night out
L: work

Sunday and Monday are time and a half so this bank holiday is all about the $ (plus it's a much better way to spend my bank holiday than yet another Leeds West Indian Carnival).

Very much dislike that ice water challenge or, well, anything that you get nominated to do. I've not been nominated but I often see these things as peer pressure. If you don't do it, you look like you don't care for the charity.

I would take part if nominated but I'd refuse to nominate anyone else.

I've been nominated but I'm not doing it. People are doing it and not even donating, which is just attention seeking and it's turned into something like the awful neck nomination craze...

Plus I have literally like 6p to my name rn so can't give to charity (well I can, but 6p is a pathetic donation laugh.gif), if I was going to I'd do it without a stupid challenge, which I do.

It's the nomination part I just can't stand. It's no better than sending a chain letter. If people were just voluntarily taking part, I wouldn't feel as strongly about it.

It does raise awareness of a great charity, but as often with these things I feel it ends up just being a celebration of narcissists seeking self-validation. Giving something back to society doesn't just mean giving money, it is also about giving time to help others and I think a much better 'nomination' would be to nominate someone to do something charitable and NOT film the bloody result and post it on social media like twitter shouting 'look at me, look at me, look at me'.
