Kristen Bell Ft Idina Menzel- For The First Time In Forever Chart-Run: 18-9-4-2-2-2-3-2-4-6-6-8-14-15-19-15-13-4-3-5-4-6-8-10-9-6-12-11-14-18-18-20-X-X-X-X-X-40 Release Date: 3rd December Chart Sales: +2.120k [+1.645k from 2014] YTD: 2nd And the Frozen juggernaut is back after a re-watch. This means Kristen Bell has a song back in the top 40 after a massive two weeks out this year and Idina Menzel extends another week of a song she has had in the top 40. For The First Time In Forever features near the start of the film and it is a song I love. It has spent a massive 20 weeks in the top 10 despite never going to number 1- it spent 4 weeks at number 2 always behind fellow song from Frozen Let It Go. The song has also spent 33 non-consecutive weeks in the top 40 39 Taylor Swift- Better Than Revenge Peak: 8 Chart Sales: +340k And the first of I think 6 re-entries for Taylor this week after Shake It Off was released. Better Than Revenge is a track on Taylor's 3rd album Speak Now and is about the girl who cheated with Nick Jonas [or one of the Jonas Brothers] while she was dating him or something like that. Anyway it is a great pop tune with amazing lyrics and I recommend you listen. It peaked at number 8 after it was not a single and it has sold a very solid 340k |

La Roux- Uptight Downtown Chart-Run: 10-24-28-33-38 Release Date: 20th July Chart Sales: +90k Year To Date: 74 Despite having a terrible 2nd week drop-off, La Roux's comeback single has recovered in recent weeks and it sneaks in at the last second after being outside the top 40 on both Wednesday and Friday. Uptight Downtown spent 1 week in the top 10, only 1 less then their number 1 single Let Me Down Gently and has now achieved 5 weeks. Also this is one of the nicest falls this week in a week full of massive falls. Anyway Trouble In Paradise will continue to do well on the album chart this week so the album side of this era has been good but not the single side This post has been edited by Ultraviolence1989: 23rd August 2014, 11:49 PM |

Meghan Trainor- All About That Bass Chart-Run: 37 Release Date: 28th September Chart Sales: +10k Year To Date: 92 out of 92 tracked songs All About That Bass becomes the 2nd song to chart on streaming alone after Changing last week. A definite top 3 hit and a possible number 1 song with the new release date, Meghan Trainor's hit that has already reached 2 in America was put on spotify this week. This song is so catchy and I love the lyrics and the message |

Ellie Goulding- How Long Will I Love You Chart-Run: Peaked at 4 last year [but sold over 105k on OW, November 2013 was a bloodbath with double Lily, Gaga, Bastille, Little Mix, Britney and so much more] Release Date: November 2013 Chart Sales: +820k Ellie Goulding holds on nicely this week with her Children In Need song after her re-entry last week as I finally bought the track. Ellie Goulding has achieved two million sellers on my chart- starry eyed [+2.25M] and your song [+1.16M] while HLWILY, Burn, The Writer, Anything Could Happen, Under The Sheets and Figure 8 are all platinum tracks. It was great to see Ellie high in the ultimate female 2014 and this beautiful song manages another week unlike the other song which re-entered last week as I finally bought it [My Heart Will Go On which is at least out of the top 50] |

Taylor Swift- Enchanted Peak: 9 Chart Sales: +440k And time for re-entry number 2 from Queen Queen Taylor Swift. This time it is the beautiful song from Speak Now. Enchanted may be a long song at nearly 6 minutes but the lyrics and Taylor's voice on this song are both absolutely incredible. This is one of my favourite Taylor songs and I wish this was released as a single. Anyway it's back in my chart now and expect to hear from Taylor soon again This post has been edited by Ultraviolence1989: 24th August 2014, 12:00 AM |

Sia- Chandelier Chart-Run: 3-3-7-13-17-18-23-34 Release Date: 29th June Chart Sales: +335k Year To Date: 39 Sia has a big fall this week with the first single from 1000 Forms Of Fear as it spends it's 8th week in the chart. However this has been a massive success for Sia as it looked like it would struggle and if it gets another week, it will overtake Ariana and Iggy's Problem which had so so much more pre-release buzz. Chandelier has now passed the 335k mark and it is Sia's biggest solo hit in my PC by miles |

Lily Allen- As Long As I Got You Chart-Run: 3-7-11-7-17-15-15-5-14-19-17-18-20-24-28-33 Release Date: 5th May Chart Sales: +600k Year To Date: 21 Lily Allen now has her third single to be certified platinum this year after Hard Out Here [1M in 2014 sales] and Air Balloon [958k]. As Long As I Got You has been one of the biggest hits this year especially for a non-single. This song got the biggest boost after Glastonbury and other boosts such as the video premiere has helped for this to lead to an incredible chart-run which it deserves as it's the 2nd best on Sheezus |

Taylor Swift- We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together Peak: 1 Chart Sales: +2.580M Taylor Swift finds her 3rd of 7 entries this week at 32 as her 5th most recent chart topper We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together re-enters. The track spent 3 weeks at number 1 and has sold over 2.5M copies- another massive success for Taylor This post has been edited by Ultraviolence1989: 24th August 2014, 12:08 AM |

31 15 04 *BIGGEST FALLER*
Pixie Lott- Lay Me Down Chart-Run: 5-6-15-31 Release Date: 27th July Chart Sales: +205k Year To Date: 55 Well Pixie Lott suffers a massive plummet with Lay Me Down this week but it's not all bad news as the single was certificated silver this week after passing 200k [and then 205k]. The second single from her self titled album spent two weeks in the top 10 before suffering two massive falls but this is above expectations which had the single opening around 16-19 with 1 week in the top 40. However it might not be able to catch Nasty This post has been edited by Ultraviolence1989: 24th August 2014, 12:13 AM |

Hayden Panettiere- Don't Put Dirt On My Grave Just Yet Chart-Run: 2-1-3-6-10-17-25-30 Release Date: 29th June Chart Sales: +470k Year To Date: 24 Despite looking like it could be one of the lowest selling number 1's of the year due to it's unknown status, Hayden is actually comfortably ahead of Cheryl, Ariana, La Roux, Kiesza and Moly on sales as she passes 470k. Also I'll take this time to say happy birthday for 3 days ago and congratulations on her pregnancy. I love Hayden and she spends an 8th week on my chart with a track from Nashville, Clare Bowen's hit still to come later |

Taylor Swift- I Knew You Were Trouble Peak; 1 Chart Sales: +4.460M And Taylor has another re-entry at 29 this week with smash hit I Knew You Were Trouble. This spent 10 weeks at number 1 in 2012/2013 and is Taylor's biggest hit to date by selling over a massive 4.4M. This was the third biggest selling single of last year in my chart and 2nd when you add in the 2012 sales for 2013 releases. Sorry I am not writing a lot this week but I can't think of what else to write for literally anything Also I will do 27 and 28 now and the rest around Midday as I am so tired so I am going to bed |

Cheryl Cole Ft Tinie Tempah- Crazy Stupid Love Chart-Run: 1-4-9-22-28 Release Date: 20th July Chart Sales: +390k Year To Date: 30 And Tinie's rapping is the reason this continues to fall really quickly along with the fact I don't have it so it's not on my IPod. Anyway it will go gold next week if it stays in the chart and has passed Call My Name's total sales already so it has been a hit but nowhere near the +3.7M and +5.6M smashes of promise this and fight for this love |

Lana Del Rey- Ultraviolence Chart-Run: 2-3-2-4-9-12-11-17-9-8-19-27 Release Date: 5th June Chart Sales: +750k Last week I said this would be in the top 15 biggest sellers of the year but this week it has actually fallen a place to 17. Anyway Lana continues to smash with another single as this spends it's 12th week in the top 40 and first week not inside the top 20. I love this song as the lyrics are beautiful and Lana's vocals are stunning See you all tomorrow for more |

There are still 2 Taylor re-entries to come but they are from older era's. Any guesses? Glad to see your enjoying it and I also agree that Red was phenomenal I am going to put the dropouts in the opening post now This post has been edited by Ultraviolence1989: 24th August 2014, 12:28 AM |

What a fantastic high note to end on. Ultraviolence really is an album highlight snd continues to grow every time I hear it on the radio, much better than West Coast for me.

Great stuff so far - glad to see 'I Knew You Were Trouble' here - my fave Taylor song of course, and loving the appearances of 'Chandelier' & 'Ultraviolence'
Oh and just did the latest section of my top 200 and whilst Cheryl doesn't feature in this section like in your chart, there are two appearances from her group Brilliant stuff as always! |
