Ordered daughter some Uni books and she wanted to return one as it's the wrong edition. Went to start the return procedure and they said "No need to return it, have it on us and we'll process your refund" ohmy.gif

Why would they do this? They usually want stuff back! I am a regular customer but anyone else heard of them doing this?

It's never happened to me, although I've only ever had to return one item to Amazon (a Mark Kermode book which I'd bought myself which I ended up getting as a Christmas present).

I'm guessing that they're doing it for the same reason that any business does anything - to encourage you to remain a customer of Amazon.

If it's an old edition then they might consider that it just isn't worth having it back.

Yes she said it's been replaced by a newer edition but was 7.99. We do use Amazon a lot, even get sacks of dry dog food from there as it's much cheaper!
