This year's round up:
Charli XCX, 'Boom Clap' Ella Henderson, 'Ghost' Indiana, 'Solo Dancing' Jessie Ware, 'Tough Love' Katy B, 'Crying For No Reason' La Roux, 'Uptight Downtown' Leona Lewis, 'One More Sleep' Little Mix, 'Move' One Direction, 'Story of My Life' Rita Ora, 'I Will Never Let You Down' Rixton, 'Me and My Broken Heart' Years and Years, 'Take Shelter' Half killer, half filler, but then there hasn't been much to pick from this last year in British pop so they couldn't have done much better. I'm crossing my fingers for one of Ghost, Katy B and One More Sleep. |

Lots of good choices there but I thought Popjustice would've recognised the brilliant 'Home' by Leah McFall.

Oh god Ryan I'll expect and hope for Little Mix to take this with flying colours (with Charli XCX/Ella/Katy B as acceptable alternatives) but there's the distinct possibility that Move will be knocked out in round 2 and Solo Dancing will run it home... for reasons. |

The hilariously arbitrary systems they use for deciding some of the knockouts means it's basically impossible to predict. DNA should've taken it home last year but they had it in seven knock-out rounds in a row, so it got ditched partly because people were bored of it winning. Cue Gentleman ending up in the notional top three by virtue of not having been in a single round until that point!

I remember Popjustice writing a couple of long articles praising 'Home' and questioning why it didn't get radio support so I thought it'd be on their radar!

Can tolerate everything on that list aside from 'Solo Dancing' & 'Take Shelter'.
My prediction would be Ella but who knows until it starts falling into place. I think Katy B has a good shot too and probably Indiana. |

actually a good list for the most part! Charli, Indiana, Jessie Ware, Katy B, Little Mix and Years & Years (trifoski impakt *.*) would rank among my faves. I don't outright 'dislike' any, tho I at least hope the Rita Ora song doesn't win as it's so painfully average. expecting Little Mix or Ella to win here, but after CHVRCHES last year who knows~

Such an odd prize, didn't realise there was such a strange system in place before a winner is announced too. Would rather not see any of the X-Factor alumni (bar Ella Henderson) win the prize, but Jessie Ware, Katy B or Years & Years would be fantastic achievements!

A few questionable inclusions but I'd say 'Solo Dancing' for the win.

I'd probably choose Jessie Ware out of that lot. A Katy B win would be great too. And she'll be more likely to get it. But I would predict Ghost to win.

Ghost would be my runaway winner, but Crying For No Reason and Move are incredible. I actually at least really like them all except Take Shelter.
