Do you set your alarm to make a particular song wake you up? Or did a song randomly pop into your head when you woke up?

This morning I had Somebody To You by The Vamps randomly pop up in my head. I don't know why, maybe I dreamt of listening to it tongue.gif w00t.gif

I've put a random noise as my alarm.

I used to have 'What About Us' but anything waking me up is usually met with nothing but hate.

My alarm has been La Voix by Malena Ernman for about 4 years now, it really is such a good wake up song (although not so much if I'm in a hurry as I always leave it to get to the chorus).

I have 'Into The Blue' as my ringtone and someone woke me up by calling me this morning.

I'm going to change it as it's getting to the point where the chorus will start jarring shortly.

I've had it as 'Clarity' for ages, which did work very well as I never tired of it or began to overly associate it with the pain of getting up.

However, literally today I've cleared out my iPad and just put a handful of my absolute favourite songs on it (largely to save space so I can get iOS 8), not including Clarity, so I've switched it to 'Feel Good Inc' for now and hopefully the cackling at the beginning of the track won't scare me shitless (or alternatively, it will and cause me to leap out of bed in terror).

I have my alarm clock set on Radio 1 so wake to whatever is playing atm, or whenever they're talking annoyingly enough dry.gif, so it can vary whether I like the song playing or not (I recall waking up to Jessie J's Domino and some song by Bring Me The Horizon once, wasn't the nicest awakening), but it's nearly always in my head and it's always something different, which I like.

Woke up to 'A Sky Full Of Stars' this morning! I'm using a radio alarm at the moment because my normal alarm clock is broken. I have that one set to play the incredibly predictable 'Pound The Alarm' by Nicki Minaj.

I don't usually set alarms and just get up when I want, unless I have plans. And I vary the song otherwise whenever I hear the song it'll always remind me of getting up, something I really don't like to do laugh.gif
Today I woke up to cat purrs and meowing wub.gif

I've had Kate Bush's 'Aerial' as my wake up for the past couple of months - "I wanna get up, up on the roof" - the opening sounds are really good for lulling you awake. Had iamamiwhoami's 'Vista' before that.

Remember it doesn't have to be an alarm, just the first song you hear or in your head smile.gif
