Sky News are saying the postal vote turnout has been around 90% and they are expecting a similar turnout at today's polling stations.

So tonight we should know the answer to the big question - will we be able to deport Michael Gove soon?

Turnout is looking amazing. They reckon it's 90% in Dundee!!! Edinburgh is estimated at 89% too.

There are some ballot boxes that are reporting 100% turnout. It's absolutely insane.

Expecting Orkney to be the first to announce, mainly because they are the smallest authority. Clackmannanshire has formerly announced at 89% as well

Highest ever turn out in Scotland is Dundee East at 88.5% which Clackmannanshire has just beaten!!!!

On track so far to beat the 80% Scotland-wide record.

First count has Dundee with 71% voting yes.

Glasgow also have apparently voted yes in the first count along with Angus. It's an obvious no right now in Borders and Falkirk.

Earlier on BBC Scotland they were talking about Fife being the bellwether for the result. This was because the Kingdom has been termed 'Mini-Scotland' due to it's demographic make-up. Better Together think they've won because they reckon Dunfermline/West Fife and NE Fife will vote heavily vote No and out weigh the anticipated Yes from Glenrothes & Kirkcaldy.

Our announcement is now expected closer to 6am than the original 4am. Only Glenrothes and Kirkcaldy are having their votes counted yet with a lot of the ballot boxes from the West and NE not yet delivered to Glenrothes despite Fife being a tiny county!!!

I'm a little bit more confident now, I'm astonished that the first count for Dundee is 71%, especially as it was predicted Dundee would vote No! Ladbrokes had on earlier as Dundee as the least likely city to vote yes laugh.gif biggrin.gif

That's amazing for Dundee.

Not Surprised Glasgow is looking like a Yes and early indications are that Edinburgh will be a No. Not surprised at that.

East Lothian are anticipating a 60% No vote.

Westminster are working as if it is a win for the no vote. What do they know that we don't? Tbh I'd love it to be a yes vote just to prove them wrong.

Nothing, they've been working on that assumption since the SNP won the 2011 Scottish Election. I'm really hoping that it is a Yes to f*** them over

Pretty much every poll has had No ahead so I'm not surprised at that.

The turnout results at least are very encouraging, no matter what side you're on. Nothing worse than someone who doesn't vote at all.

anticipated Yes from Glenrothes & Kirkcaldy.

Really? I've always thought Glenrothes seems more No and Kirkcaldy definitely more Yes.
