Just listening back to some amazing remixes of original songs, and there are quite a few. If I had to pick my top 3...

01. Britney Spears - Till The World Ends (Femme Fatale Remix)
02. Beyonce & Nicki Minaj - ***Flawless (Remix)
03. Lady Gaga - Applause (Purity Ring Remix)

If we're talking about strictly instrumental remixes; Spectrum (Calvin Harris Remix) is definitely up there. Also, Alias Radio Edit of All Fired Up.

These are on my go to running remixes. Never fails me.

Britney Spears - Gimme More (Stonebridge Club Remix)

Madonna - Hollywood (Jacques Lu Cont Remix)

Britney Spears - Break The Ice (Rochelle Remix)

Paris Hilton - Turn It Up (Paul Oakenfold Remix)

Dont let Paris Hilton's name fool you. Paul Oakenfold heals all. (Though the link is slightly too pitched for copyright reasons :/ )

I almost always prefer the original single mix, it's rare I like a remix but a few from way back that spring to mind are The Source/Candi Staton remix of Candi Staton's original, and the even more epic remix of the remix from 1997 of You Got The Love. The dance remix of U2's Even Better Than The Real Thing was almost as good.

Just a couple of the tracks where I can play the remixes over and over! Both fantastic!

I also love the Hi-Bias remix version of 'Everytime' by Queen Brit!

And also the Jason Nevins (again) remix of 'Because of You'!

Sorry for the Overload on Britney remixes, but surprised this hasn't been mentioned:

I love that Jacques Lu Cont remix. Here's another:

Blood Diamonds, Lissvik and Kygo are semi-notorious for making remixes way better than their original stuff. Go listen.

I don't really "do" remixes. I don't know why but i never have the effort to search out remixes unless they're given to me. It is something i wish i looked more at though.

But for now, any excuse the bring this out again:

The Sympho Nympho Remix of Elephant is amazing. Gave me so much more hope before the actual single premiered.

Just listened to the Chainsmoker's remix of Ellie Goulding's Goodness Gracious, it's pretty good (don't assume it's another #SELFIE; it sounds completely different happy.gif )

Their remix of 'Julian' I posted a few posts above is much better than that IMO.

Obligatory mention for the best remix ever:

The Oxford remix of Diet Mountain Dew by Lana Del Rey as well brightens up an otherwise quite dull song:
