Ant & Dec confirmed to be hosting, taking over from James Corden.

Good, bad or indifferent choice?

They have to be the most overrated presenters on TV at the minute tbh. I don't really find them funny at all yet virtually everyone wets themselves over Saturday Night Takeaway and I'm A Celeb (I do watch the latter but usually that's for the celebs)...

I've always like Ant & Dec but then I was a small child when they became famous and they're just so familiar. I thought they were great on SM:TV, CD:UK and Pop Idol too. They're very professional so will do a good job. I hate it when the presenters are chosen to obviously cause controversy (Russell Brand, the Osbournes) because it's so desperate. Stars will make fools of themselves no matter who the presenters are so why try and stir it?

Definitely a good choice. Have they hosted the Brits before?

Yeah they have I think, tho it was a long time ago.

I agree that they're an excellent choice. I grew up with them on SM:TV. They're professional, likeable and funny. I don't mind James Corden, but I find some of his material to come across as a bit try-hard

Very good choice, they're two of the most recognisable and likable presenting faces on British television and they know what they're doing without trying too hard to be funny or controversial and have the ability to appeal to wide age range in audience. They'd be able to do this no problem.

May actually watch it this time now that bloody Corden's finally gone!

I actually liked James Corden though I realise I'm the only one. Ant & Dec will probably be fine hosts as well though.

I do like James Corden but Ant & Dec are my favourite presenters of anything so this is brilliant news.

I liked James Corden! I think maybe once or twice was enough for him though as he did kind of try a bit hard and recycle the same kind of jokes, but he was good enough.

I must be the only person in Britain who really doesn't see what the fuss is about with Ant & Dec...

I don't think there's really any fuss with Ant & Dec, it's just a case of finding the least shit presenters the UK has.

I liked James Corden actually but it's about time we got a new BRITS presenter. Ant & Dec is a great choice anyway

A good choice! I remember when they did it in 2001.

I know it was confirmed ages ago, but I'm so glad James Corden isn't doing it any more. I never understood why they decided to have him back after the 2009 awards, and certainly not after 2011, yet they ended up having him present 5 times in total. Thank God his reign is over! I don't even mind him generally but he was just so bad at presenting it.

I miss when the Brits took place at Earls Court, the atmosphere from the crowd always seemed more electric when it was held there.

Yep! Cat Deeley was the last to do so in 2004. Davina McCall also presented it in 2000 and 2003. Cathy McGowan hosted in 1990. Kind of strange that they don't have female hosts all that often.
