So with the excitement and buzz around Pixie Lott's upcoming Greatest Hits album, and with Anthony hopefully following the idea of a Greatest Hits rate (ohmy.gif) what do we think of them?

Are there any artists that should join Pixie in the bargain bin for useless releases, or any artists that are demanding for a Greatest Hits to be released? What are your favourites/least favourites??

'Celebration' (Madonna) and 'Mothership' (Led Zepellin) rank as two of my favourites. And i'd say Rihanna is the artist that needs to release one more than any other...

You? ohmy.gif

Some of my favourites:

Girls Aloud - The Sound of Girls Aloud
Girls Aloud - Ten
The Saturdays - Finest Selection
Natalie Imbruglia - Glorious
S Club 7 - Best

J-Lo's SHOULD be on this list but it's such a poor representation of her fabulous discography sad.gif

Abba Gold
Girls Aloud Ten (The original Greatest Hits collection is full of duds, Ten is a much more polished collection)
The Saturdays Finest Selection
Madonna Celebration/Imaculate Collection

All are fantastic collections of pop songs.

J-Lo will never be forgiven for missing out Play from her Greatest Hits.

I am waiting for Rihanna and Katy Perry's collections - they will be flawless.

We've waited too long for new Rihanna material so it'd be an anticlimax for her to do a Greatest Hits era as her next one. She does deserve a GH set though, so many big songs and standouts. Maybe this time next year (10 years since her first hit)

On rotation in my car I have Greatest Hits from Pink, Stereophonics, the Killers, Dido and Anastacia (though the latter was release too early-having said that she hasn't exactly had a hit since)

I wouldn't buy it, but Rihanna is certainly due one and possibly Beyoncé too. I wouldn't be surprised to see Maroon 5 release one next. And Scissor Sisters should really have one out. Oh and Coldplay.

Loving No Doubt's currently.

I can see Maroon 5 doing one next as well. If Coldplay do one, I think it will be more when they split up.

My faves off the top of my head:

ABBA - Gold
Alanis Morissette - The Collection
Britney Spears - The Singles Collection
Cher - Gold
Christina Aguilera - Keeps Gettin' Better: A Decade Of Hits
Dolly Parton - The Very Best Of Dolly Parton
Girls Aloud - Ten
Kate Bush - The Whole Story
Kelly Clarkson - Greatest Hits: Chapter One
Janet Jackson - The Best
Madonna - Celebration
Martina McBride - Greatest Hits
Myléne Farmer - Les mots / 2001.2011
P!nk - Greatest Hits... So Far!
Sugababes - Overloaded
The Saturdays - Finest Selection: Greatest Hits
Whitney Houston - The Ultimate Collection

The absolute best if I had to just pick a few would be Kelly, Whitney, The Saturdays, Madonna, Kate and Britney. Carrie Underwood's will be right up there too come December, it has every single one of her flawless singles <3

I love GH albums and have about 200 of them in my cd collection, nearly every major artist from the last 50 years. Far too many favourites to list.

My fav ever is 'Greatest Hits: My Prerogative'. Every track is pretty much FLAWLESS. Second fav would be 'The Sound of Girls Aloud', followed by 'Greatest Hits So Far' and 'Pieces of a Dream' (Anastacia).

Not here for any half-arsed compilations.. I want a bonus disc with extra tracks or videos and wonderful packaging. Otherwise, what is the point? P!nk, Britney (with My Prerogative) and Anastacia (despite only having a handful of hits) nailed it with theirs. Girls Aloud and Kelly Clarkson should've come better packaged but their content more than makes up for it.

I'd say Muse are long overdue a Greatest Hits. It'd do pretty well in the long run. Also, Rihanna, Shakira and Beyonce obviously.
