Coming in 2020 apparently. BBC shows and characters mixed with Paramount to a new theme park in the UK.

Sounds interesting, although I guess there will be a lot of uproar about whose actually fronting the bill...

Will there be a "TOTP scare train" with Jimmy Saville and Rolf Harris type monsters inside ?

I saw this mentioned a few weeks ago on StarTrek.com (it being Paramount there's going to be a Trek THING natch) and I still think YAY. Should be great for tourism.

as long as licence fee payers get free entry or else it means they can do away with the licence fee or else it's not paid for at all by the licence fee payer but the profits return to the BBC to subsidise programming..

apart from that it sounds like my perfect theme park! Islands Of Adventure holds the current crown for that: Marvel superheroes and villains, Poseidon and Greek gods, Harry Potter, Jurassic Park, Dragons, Cartoon characters, Seuss....

It's being funded by BBC Worldwide (i.e. the commercial arm which sells programmes etc. to overseas broadcasters) rather than directly from the licence fee.

I think it would be interesting to have the Harry Potter theme in London, since its UK location is canon to the actual story, but also because it was such a huge hit in the US (even Universal Studios Hollywood is about to have its own).

I hope there'll be a part dedicated to the golden era of the CBBC era! A Tracey Beaker ride needs to be made!
