EE is cutting the 2-4-1 Orange Wednesday promotion in February 2015.

I have a feeling a lot of people will up and leave the network because of this! Horrible business move.

I've read that a lot of people were only with EE because of Orange Wednesdays so I agree that there'll be a massive wave of people leaving.

Oh well that's a bit shit. I had EE on the phone today (I'm due an upgrade and they were trying to persuade me an iPhone 6 Plus might be RIGHT FOR ME) and they were saying it'll still be there. Oops. Not that it impacts my decision to stay with them in any way (I am).

Isn't this only the reason why Orange are relevant in the mobile business? That was dumb of them laugh.gif

Orange will probably be gone itself soon, they were basically begging me not to upgrade on network but instead go for EE.

Pretty much. Apparently the reason for this is a drop in people using Orange Wednesdays. I just think it is such a foolish move. Stupid of them to announce this, and not a new partnership/deal at the same time.

I've been on EE since the summer (I was on Orange previously). Fortunately I am near a Cineworld so can still benefit from their Bargain Tuesdays (which if you book online, any film is 5 a head. Result), but this is still a bit gutting. I will admittedly only go to the cinema if it's something I really want to see, but Orange Wednesdays were my go to for that sort of thing so I could take a friend, my sister or my dad along with me. It's a stupid business move on EE's part certainly.

They'll surely bring something else in its place? I can't see them just abandoning it. That's probably one of the reasons it's been announced to be stopped in February as well. Maybe to see if it'll create a resurgence in popularity or to see how people feel about it, I mean two months is a long time and plenty of time for them to change their minds.
