Every year I read this thread I always think 'these hoes are spoiled', but I guess it's just a bigger thing in the UK.

For most yeah laugh.gif It's all Xboxes and designer clothes and cars and watches! My family give less as we get older. Usually for me it's one big present then a few little bits.

I got:
A chromebook (so weird having a laptop again!)
Various chocolate
Pants/socks
Terry's Chocolate Orange and the Segsations things
Money

Seeing family later but they all usually give money rather than gifts so I can add more money to this list later tongue.gif

i'd say 'regular shit' you can buy any day yourself rather than 'christmas gifts'. i mean come awn SOCKS and imma make a STAB IN THE DARK... itunes giftcards! magic.gif nothing screams more lazy to me. where is the personality? where is ANYTHING? the majority of xmas presents these days are pretty much an equivalent of the saturdays.

That's what you get when you get older. As a child I always had a big list of things I desired but now... all the things that I want can't be bought from a store.

it's not even about that. it's f***ing lazy as f*** to give shit like chocolate/socks/money as a present. there's like literally no thought process involved. it's like a mild form of insult. 'oh i really didn't care about thinking what personalised gift to get for you this year so here you go an itunes voucher yay merry december 25th yay'

Umm cheer up/calm down lol. I got chocolates for my tutor/mentors at University/School and got some back off them. The ones i gave it out to were so grateful that i actually got them something when i didn't really need to and likewise i was very grateful to receive some back.

Ever heard of "it's the thought that counts"?

gurl i am perfectly calm. 25 december is a regular day in Russia so y'all let's not be xenophobiqué and assume the entire world should celebrate your Xmas and therefore be in a festive mood on this very day okai :)

I wasn't talking about uni/work. of course you wouldn't go all thinking about personalised gifts for everyone you know literally but I think for family it's worth making an effort otherwise this just turns into a dumb tradition which no one can really explain the importance of.
