A spinoff to one of Common Sense's supermarket deal threads, but one that you can actually take advantage of. Does anyone else use the Waitrose free drink a day offer? ohmy.gif or know any other money saving tips that are easy/useful to take advantage of?

All it involves is signing up for a Waitrose Card and with that you're entitled to one free cup of tea/coffee/cappuccino/latte a day. I thought there'd be a hidden agenda but i haven't found one yet and with a Waitrose right outside the school i work at now, it's perfect. I mean the drink you get isn't the BEST but it's free so who cares. I always feel like I'm stealing, because i just walk in get the drink and leave without ever paying for anything else lol.

Pretty worth it if you're in close distance to a Waitrose magic.gif (waiting for the catch/for them to send a huge bill to my house for all the cups I've had~).

You can also get a free newspaper or a Daily Mail each time you spend £5 (£10 at the weekend).

I don't normally bother with the free coffee as there isn't really anywhere to drink it. I don't particularly want to stand around in (or outside) Waitrose drinking coffee.

Aside from the fact that I don't drink tea or coffee, there isn't a Waitrose within 50 miles of me manson.gif

M&S Food is opening in the Summer here in St Andrews so Waitrose can suck it.

I swear I've never seen a Waitrose in Scotland. Is it exclusive to England?

There's a handful over Glasgow way and I think one in Edinburgh.

There may be one up in Aberdeen too.

I go waitrose about twice a month, it's a little out of the way but the free mocha more than makes up for it.

My Mum and Dad take this offer up all the time, I think they sometimes get a free slice of cake too (and the slices are massive from what I've seen).

Clearly. Not even St Andrews is good enough for them. (But Stirling is?!?)

You'd expect St Andrews, of all places, to be the place that has one! laugh.gif

I love Waitrose - well worth a free coffee every day biggrin.gif

The store card does some ok deals now and then as well. You get none of this in your common ASDA or Aldis you know!

It's hardly classy.

I know right!

The Student Newspaper here actually complained when Sainsbury's opened that it wasn't an M&S or a Waitrose.
