Eggs. They're a STAPLE of society and can be prepared in so many different ways. But what is your absolute favourite egg dish? I'm quite the fan of scrambled eggs myself (preferably on toast).

What do you mean I'm lacking inspiration for thread ideas today?

manson.gif at the lack of multiple choice-ness in the poll. It depends on my mood. Recently i have opted for a clean omelette-ified but i am also v partial to scrambled (on toast) or soft boiled with strips of toast, though that does leave a sickly sticky taste in your mouth.

You must be DECISIVE when it comes to eggs! ohmy.gif

Soft boiled eggs I am not too big a fan of. Too runny and goopy ~

I use eggs for the yolk but that's about it, can't stand them in scrambled/hard boiled form.

Though I will eat things that use eggs to make, quiche is quite lovely depending on what else is in there.

I do like a nice quiche. Made brown shrimp and spinach tartlets for dinner last night and the egg filling was perfectly wobbly.

Scrambled eggs are divine, like srsly amazing, one of my regular brunches, although all of the options above I'm quite partial too (Fried not as much though) and soft boiled eggs with toast soldiers are always good for a hangover cure I find...I could eat eggs every day honestly, quite divine food heart.gif

I like them poached but it's too much trouble, so I just boil or fry them.

I sometimes have eggs with pasta or eggs on toast, too. But I don't really eat eggs that often, I swear!

Only appropriate that the site's main bird enthusiast also be a fan of eggs funky.gif

We get more eggs than we can possibly consume at my house, as we have pet chickens. We could probably live off their eggs alone without ever spending a penny on other food ohmy.gif (well, until they stop laying).

my grandma makes the BEST eggs, she used to work at a farmers market and she still has connections there so she gets really fresh eggs! That's the only place/way I'll eat eggs though.

Scrambled is the best. Obviously (or read: if I must choose). Although I'll also take them poached if that's an option.

And I will also accept soft-boiled or fried. Really cool versatile food (and that's why they're great, no need to be decisive) although I really don't eat enough of them at the moment.

Poached. Have just discovered the way to make PERFECT poached eggs too. Other than that - fried and flipped once. I like a dippy yolk - but not SNOTTY!

I also like eggs when they're in a cake! My husband makes fabulous cakes!

LexC brings the tone down as usual.

Whoops I meant to include poached as an option. Ah well, too late for that now. Have never actually tried them myself!

Was waiting for that, PredictableC. 12 posts before a "sexual" joke was brought in; I'd call that a success for the site!

But Lex, if you let your eggs be fertilised, you're going to be eating feathers and little chick bones. That's not nice. sad.gif
