Pick a classic Tv theme that links into the one before, maybe composer, actor, a colour, a tenuous link.....whatever.

As Fall Out Boy have a track out called Uma Thurman that heavily uses The Munsters Theme, here's that one...

FAB!

The Munsters started in 1964 (on my fourth birthday laugh.gif ). Probably, the most famous British television programme to start in 1964 had its first edition on 1 January that year. Here is its most familiar theme tune.

I could be getting my days of the week mixed up here, but back in the late 1980s on Thursday nights you would often hear the Top of the Pops theme and, shortly after, this little ditty that signalled the sports quiz of the week with David Coleman, Bill Beaumont and Willie Carson / Emlyn Hughes / Ian Botham was here.

Ah, the good old days when the closing credits of one programme were followed almost immediately by the opening credits of the next programme. The days before some imbecile decided to subject us to endless trailers and other promotional puff.

Form one quiz show to another. Who remembers Screen Test?

There's a blast from the past I'd forgotten, yes that tune is still familiar 40 years + on!

Well, host Michael Rodd was also in Tomorrow's World, just before Top Of The Pops, I think, and here's that jazzy cool intro again...

Excellent themes so far!

Maggie Philbin was a long-term presenter of Tomorrow's World. She also presented Multi-Coloured Swap Shop with then husband Keith Chegwin who presented this show that scored pretty low on entertainment but high in terms of theme tune.

The obvious move from the Partridge Family has to be Alan Partridge. His first appearance on television was on The Day Today.

Well, a 5-0 result would most probably make it Match of the Day...and it's back to David Coleman again.

well saturday nights wouldnt be the same without Match Of The Day, as I spent hours watching it while babysitting in the mid-70's for cash (there was often nothing else on). My most-obsessive saturday night TV show though? This one..

(OK it's evening technically, hey ho)

The first actor to play The Doctor who I had heard of was Peter Davison. That is because he was in All Creatures Great And Small
