And obviously Lilly Wood & The Prick. No follow-up to Prayer In C, and judging by how ghastly that song was, that's a very good thing.

D'Banj is a massive one surely!? Oliver Twist was a 2012 Summer smash but since then he's been overshadowed by Fuse ODG. I've heard a couple of his songs, but nothing that would chart.
Loick Essien too - he had a #2 in 2011 with 'How We Roll' but since he's been dropped by his label. Others could be Secondcity, Dot Rotten, K Koke, Ben Pearce & Meridian Dan. All charted a minimum of top 20 before their follow ups tanked and I doubt any of them will get there again. |

Possibly but IMO DBanjs track is rather forgetful and to be fair missed the top 10... Nah, it got to #9 in May 2012. Felt big at the time and unique (first African sounding song in ages/ever). Since, we've had Fuse ODG so it doesn't stand out as much as it did then. |

I'm not sure if Owl City is a one hit wonder yet, since he's had 3 top 100 hits and 3 101-200 hits, as well as MDM with Chicane as Adam Young Two big hits, and nothing else close to that level. Come on, I'm a huge fan of his and I can admit from a commercial point of view he has two hits and that's it. |

Adding Dragonette considering "Outlines" has smashed in the top 10. Two hits, both features. Obviously not the case in Canada but I'm talking about OCC facts.
Shame considering "Pick Up The Phone" and "Let It Go" were so addicting. This post has been edited by Blank Slayberry: 12th February 2015, 02:54 AM |

Mike Posner only had two hits in the UK. If I remember correctly his second single 'Please Don't Go' was snubbed by Radio 1 and completely missed the top 100, and it took Cher Lloyd's 'With Ur Love' to bring him back.
Karmin is a one-hit wonder with no UK chart hits since 'Brokenhearted'. Lady Antebellum has had one UK hit and another song that peaked at #78. They are of course more successful in the US. Also, Foster The People |

Aloe Blacc: "I Need a Dollar" (#2), "The Man" (#1)
Though a footnote must be made for Avicii's "Wake Me Up!" (a different version of which Aloe also charted with at #69). He's had a really interesting career trajectory, to say the least. It's cool that he finally earned a top-ten back home, but that came and went. |

All of these had other top 40 hits (Iyaz got to #40 with 'So Big' and top 40 with features on Mann's 'The Mack' and Charice's 'Pyramid', Cover Drive had 'Explode' and their feature on Far East Movement's 'Turn Up The Love' and Gabrielle Aplin had 'Panic Cord' (and wasn't far off with 'Home')) so not the best examples |

And I never knew Iyaz had a 3rd top 40 hit! |

Loreen, Conchita and the Common Linnets won't be seen in our charts again, as it was a Eurovision bounce.
Sak Noel - had "Nini" which was "Loca People" with different lyrics that flopped. |

Anyone get the feeling Echosmith will be joining this list soon? As much as I like 'Cool Kids', I can't really see them getting a follow up hit.
