Calvin Harris is clearly not concerned it's winter.

The DJ showed off his best assets then said some contractually obligated things including: “It’s incredible to be working with Mr. Armani and his team at Emporio Armani,” and “I feel an affinity to the brand ethos and have been a long time admirer of their designs.”

Rita Ora like 'DAYUM.'

Are we really at the point where pictures that go on billboards in the most famous square in the world, filled with people of all ages, would be considered a risk by Google? Because I don't buy that for a second.

We got guidelines from Phil who got them from the Google Ad rules.

If you don't like them take them up with him because our hands are tied.

I mean we are resulting to threads about pancake toppings and LENT being highlighted topics of discussion.

This is not an Amish village. This is a place that stans for slutty pop stars and everything that is pop culture ?? Also, I'm not blaming the lounge moderators or Phil. Just how ridiculous Google is.

I miss the pre-google days. sad.gif

For a Californian tech company Google does seem unusually phobic. Plus they are complete hypocrites. How come nipples aren't allowed on our site but are on google images huh google?

I would genuinely be surprised if Google AdSense withdrew ads on the basis of images which would come up on their Moderate image search settings.

Plus, given the only thing they've seen fit to pull us up on recently was an image of a woman with her nipples out...

The whole Google thing is an utter joke. They are holding us to ludicrous standards, when 99% of the time the images are sourced using their own search engine service. Sadly though out hands are tied and if we want the site to be able to continue to function financially we have no option but to capitulate to their demands.

However, I have zero interest in the pics so whatevs. Calving is ugly and no amount of buffing up will change that face. Though obv buffing up isn't even my bag either.

There is no point taking a risk when Google will be watching the site like a hawk for the next few weeks. All it takes is for the issue to escalate again and then the site is completed buggered again. If people want to view the images then I suggest they're not hard to come by, but mods did the right thing.

Given the number of Amazon consumers on here I genuinely think we'd have a better time of things just converting to Amazon/other revenue links, or at least trialling them side by side with AdSense to see if it's a long-term revenue generator that could replace it. There was definitely an issue before, but when we're being blocked from discussing things that a moderate Google search setting wouldn't have an issue with...

Agreed, but it's lower down on our priorities for the time being. Right now it suits the websites needs, and future capabilities. But at the same time we don't really want a lot of sexually explicit/provocative stuff on the site.
