With perfect timing - it is, after all, Ash Wednesday, Ash have announced a new single and, despite their announcement that they would only release singles in future, a new album. My first impression of the single is that it is very good.

I listened to this a couple of times earlier. I'm really liking it, can download it from tomorrow apparently! Not surprised that they've done a U-turn on the whole only doing singles thing, it's probably simpler to market/tour/write around the central point of an album.

Wow, this is what they call a return to form. On first listen, it already sounds like their best single since Goldfinger.

An actual cassette single, amazing!

'Cocoon' is a great return to form, looking forward to the album now. My mate is going to see them at the Scala in June, I really wanted tickets but they're sold out sad.gif
