OMG, one of my favourite sci-fi/fantasy writers, his books are just a pleasure to read and so crafted.

RIP Sir Terry heart.gif

What an inspirational and talented gentleman. His documentary for the BBC a few years ago about the right to die was very well made too - one of my favourite documentaries, although a very difficult watch.

Wow, that's quite a big death. I haven't read much of his work shamefully, as given my tastes I'd probably enjoy Discworld if I ever read it, but what I have read was interesting and innovative. (I think it was his Nomes Trilogy, years ago)

RIP.

Absolutely devastating news, he was such an inspiration to me as a writer and still is. I read pretty much all the 'Discworld' books in high school ('Wyrd Sisters' was my favourite) so this is really sad. Will be much missed.

Very sad death. I have great memories of the old Discworld video games that were for the Sega Saturn! I didn't read any of his books, but very sad all the same. RIP

Tragic news. I'm a great fan and have read over 10 of his books. He will be missed!

R.I.P. sad.gif Really gutting news, 66 seems so young especially for Alzheimer's.

My mum owns most of the Discworld books, I think I remember her reading bits of them to me when I was very young.

Absolutely devastated at this. Discworld was such a huge part of my life. The books, the video games, the cartoon adaptations and even the plays. So upset.

I'm not overly familiar with a lot of his work (which is odd as I'm sure it would've right up my/my younger self's street), but he was such a big and influential name in the literary world that it's horrible to lose and especially at a fairly young age sad.gif

Also my dad was a huge fan. He had the opportunity to meet him several times at book signings but always chickened out for some reason. My nan, mum and uncle all met him though.
