Kicking off ha Lounge quiz revival ~

I gave 100 people 100 seconds to oh wait this is the BuzzJack version of Pointless.

Below is a list of 10 questions. All you have to do is PM me a correct answer to each of those questions. The STRATEGY~ comes in the scoring system - you will score 1 point for each other person who sends in the same answer as you (as long as your answer is correct - an incorrect answer will score you the maximum number of points possible, i.e. one less than the number of entrants. You'll want to avoid that).

The aim of the game is to score AS FEW POINTS AS POSSIBLE. Now in the real version of Pointless this is achieved by answering the most obscure answer you can think of. However, on BuzzJack, where you have Google to sniff out the most obscure of the obscure answers, it becomes a game of double triple quadruple etc. bluffing - do you go for an obscure answer, do you go for an obvious answer because you think everyone will go for the obscure answer, do you go for an obscure answer because everyone will go for an obvious answer thinking everyone will go for an obscure answer... where does it end? ;o

1. Name an album that reached #1 in the UK in 2014.
2. Name a capital city of a country in South America.
3. Name a current moderator of one of BuzzJack's genre forums.
4. Name a Pixar feature length film.
5. Name a king or queen after whom a Shakespeare play is named.
6. Name a studio album by Madonna.
7. Name an artist who has won the BBC 'Sound of...' poll.
8. Name a country which lies on the equator.
9. Name an artist who performed at the 2015 BRIT Awards.
10. Name a country which participates in the Ashes.

Note: a country (for questions 2 and 8, but not 10) is defined as a sovereign state recognised by the United Nations.

Please send your answers in a PM to this very account by some time next Sunday Monday. Results will commence on Sunday Monday evening.

Remember the time I nearly won a Kindle playing this a few years ago? *shakes fist both at gooddelta, and the person responsible for closing the Oasis forum*.

5. Name a king or queen who is the subject of a Shakespeare play.

To clarify, does this mean a king/queen who the title of the play is named after, a king/queen who is the main character of a play, or any king/queen who features in a play by Shakespeare? It seems a little unclear.

The former - I will make that more clear.

I hope the rewritten question is grammatically correct. I can never tell with these things. magic.gif

Well you never know. Maybe the planets will align and all but one person will submit the same answer, likely handing a win to the one lucky deviant ohmy.gif

I have sent my own answers in a PM to myself by the way - and I will not be changing them to cheat, I'm not Calum Sandé heehee.gif

I think that's grand, people should get the gist of it.

Also, could you clarify, in true Pointless style, what exactly you mean by a "country"?

Any sovereign state recognised by the United Nations biggrin.gif

Unfortunately the Central African Republic is just north of the equator and isn't England or Australia, nor is it an album (Madonna or otherwise), a city, a BuzzJack poster, a film, a monarch or a musician so it is not an applicable answer to any of the ten questions.

I think I need to emphasise this more as I've already received a few answers to question 2 that are incorrect - I will give anyone who's submitted so far (up to and including Jade in the first post ~) a chance to change their answer to that question if they believe they are one of these people. However, no resubmitting for any future answerers (and I've now put the definition in the first post so no more excuses).
