At 1am tomorrow morning the clocks will go forward by one hour, which means we're on our way to Summer cheer.gif

Remember to set your alarm clocks forward an hour ohmy.gif That's if you've actually got anywhere to be tomorrow morning

From December to about this point of the year I like to watch the sunset times on BBC Weather get ever later, and then there's this big jump that's just going to put a huge smile on my face happening tomorrow.

Gonna be so much more daylight (that I don't miss by sleeping) <3

My only hope now is that we get some warmer weather. Aside from a few sunny spells, the temperature this year thus far has been awful! I know it's only early spring, but we've been getting warmer March/April/May 's recently.

I've been off work this week so I am essentially losing a hours holiday.

Two years ago, I was walking down Oxford Street on 30 March and it snowed ohmy.gif

I never like the night the clocks change itself (losing that precious hours' sleep (well not really in the grand scheme of things but you know)) but what it brings in later sunset & psychologically longer days is always very welcoming. 1 night's pain for 6 months gain! biggrin.gif

Yeh March 2013 was one of the coldest on record we had inches of snow in Ireland.

Apparently we are getting 4 mins extra light a day now - that's nearly half and hour a week!!

I really don't see the point in DST.

IIRC It was introduced mainly so that farmers could get an hour longer of sunlight when it got darker earlier in the evening. I think it then just became tradition tongue.gif:

Annoying that it suddenly jumped to 2am last night, but I will enjoy the lighter nights!

For some reason I'm not looking forward to lighter nights. I like going to sleep at nine and it being dark laugh.gif
