David Cameron has had 100 letters of support from head of businesses.

Who are they - well all his rich friends who are scared of losing their tax cut and also having to pay mansion tax if labour gets in - then they'll say they cannot manage to live. mad.gif
Most of them are only glorified pen pushers anyway.

Cameron says they have to pay for the best. We were supposed to have the best bankers money can buy and what did they do, create the deficit in the first place that we have all to pay for and they still get their outrageous bonuses. mad.gif

I assume you mean the letter in the Telegraph yesterday, signed by 103 business leaders. Cameron and Osborne are claiming it is unprecedented. This is, of course, a lie. There is a statement of support from business leaders in every election.

I suppose they could mean it is unprecedented for the telegraph to publish it with such a huge headline - far bigger than the headline on 12 September 2001. The Telegraph have, clearly, given up being a newspaper for the election campaign. Instead, they have joined most of the tabloids in being part of the Tories' propaganda effort.

I'm not sure why we're supposed to be surprised at this letter. After all, these are the ultra-wealthy people who will be asked to pay more tax if Labour win.

OTOH, perhaps the "unprecedented" bit is the number of signatories who have appeared on Cameron's honours list. Two of them have been given a peerage by Cameron. A further 18 have been given lesser honours.

Because they wrote the story before the debate took place.

The CEO of AstraZeneca has come out and asked for his name to be removed from the letter saying he didn't sign it and doesn't endorse the Tories or any party. According to auntie beeb they were approached by the Tories about those policies and said they liked them and then the Tories took that as a ringing endorsement

These 100 people will be the first up against the wall when the revolution comes!!

But the complete NON-revelation of course is that a lot are Tory donors and stand to benefit from continued favourable taxes on the super rich - this will massively backfire of course on the Conservative Party because the electorate are pretty switched on, and are fully aware that these 'people' are not interested in anyone but themselves.

Incorrect. Everyone knows that the mindless jerks who'll be the first against the wall when the revolution comes are the marketing department of the Sirius Cybernetics Corporation.

Of course, the Telegraph will happily ignore many of these same business people when they call for the UK to remain in the EU.

As tribute to the great Zaphod, there will be two heads for every two-faced rich hypocrite to be genetically engineered into, come the revolution.
