Ok, so who kicked ass for you tonight?

My vote is going to Nicola Sturgeon, and not just because I'm a SNP member.

Leanne Wood, with Nick Clegg a surprise #2.

Farage last, I was surprised how anonymous he was during the debate, his ghastly comment about HIV+ sufferers aside. The rest of the leader seem to have been briefed beforehand not to engage with him in order to not give him the oxygen of publicity.

Nicola I'd say. Quite easily too, although Natalie and Leanne both spoke a fair amount of sense too.

Sturgeon was the clear winner of that, very strong points throughout, I'm sure that's helped her party loads in Scotland on the back of that.

Miliband and Clegg also came across pretty strong although Miliband took a few blows and Clegg was in the background for much of it. Cameron was okay but not as participatory as I'd expect a major political player to be.

Bennett was disappointing honestly, very few good moments that I noticed, while I think we've all noticed what Leanne's agenda was that time.

Nicola won I think. I love Leanne too but she didn't win. Nick wasn't too bad either nor was Natalie.

ITV news says Cameron, Milliband and Farage all tied with 21% of the poll for 'who performed best'

poor Green party leader apparently performed the worst with 25% of the poll for 'who performed worst'

Nicola. A proper voice of the needy. The SNP in terms of policy need to have an influence on government, and no the UK does NOT want to lose them with any talk of independence, the UK needs them.

Nicola Sturgeon was the best performer for me, with Farage last. Nick Clegg did reasonably well. His (obviously prepared) answer on tuition fees was suitably apologetic and honest.

I'm not hugely into Politics but SNP were the highlights for me today, I hope a lot of the Scottish population give them a vote.

Polls are all over the place for this one - another has Miliband just edging it 1% ahead of Cameron.

Nicola Sturgeon really performed well, I was very impressed by her. What a shame she's not leading a UK-wide party.

Nigel Farage did awfully, I expected him to perform much better. Natalie Bennett was awful, she seemed quite lost at times. Cameron, Miliband and Clegg were ok and my opinion didn't really change for either of them.

I respect Leanne Wood for tackling Farage and Miliband, but I still don't like her.

The Telegraph has reviewed the Twitter reaction. Sturgeon clearly comes out on top.

Boo = negative tweet
Cheer = positive tweet

All of the women performed better than the men, according to Twitter. Yay feminism.
