It's hard to say, because I really do have a very broad range of music tastes, and most people who know me know that.

I'll go with Santana.

i'm pretty much an open book and my mates are aware that i'll give anything a try.... however i have explicitly said on many occasions that i dislike country music so i think they'd be surprised to know that i'm actually quite enjoying sam hunt atm - especially leave the night on wub.gif

omg same—it's "take your time" for me though (also he is kind of f***ing gorgeous)

there are quite a number of country records i've LOVED the past couple years that people wouldn't guess i love (kacey musgraves and little big town among others)

I think most recent ones that have surprised my family to see turn up in my collection are Paul Weller, Madness and James Brown. All as a result of Olly covering them on tour but hey, being introduced to new music (or at least new to me) music is always a good thing, whatever medium its via.

Anything rocky I guess, and I do listen to a surprisingly high amount of rock/alternative music. Everyone knows me as a cheesy pop fan but my tastes are far wider than that.

I love a bit of Paul Weller, Wake Up The Nation was one of my favourite albums before Adele's 21! biggrin.gif

I really like Kasabian and everyone I talk to seems surprised I'd like such a rock/indie sounding band as I'm more pop now really.

people are more surprised if I actually hate something musically, that's quite rare, though there's a lot of "whatever" stuff.

some of my friends may not know of my long love for The Archies, 60's/70's cartoon bubblegum band. I bought the albums, EP's, singles and now downloads of stuff from the TV series never issued before on vinyl or CD. Not as varied as The Wombles, but so bubblegum catchy heart.gif laugh.gif

The TV show, apart from the music, is unbelievably bad. The worst jokes in history.

I got 'Stanley Road' and the 'Hit Parade' best of from 2006 which has his Jam and Style Council stuff on it. The latter is a fine album...'You Do Something to Me' is well. Just very special isn't it?

Most friends know that I'm into bands like The Beatles/Oasis as well as more pop acts like Gaga/Girls Aloud but some probably wouldn't know about my strong liking of maybe more urban stuff like Kanye/Kendrick/A$AP Rocky. Or even mega chilled out stuff like Enigma/The xx. Though everyone should find themselves acquainted with all of the above, of course~

Oh gosh yes! Yet to venture too much into his work with The Jam apart from the cliche tracks!

Apart from 'Town Called Malice', I knew of 'Going Underground' and also 'That's Entertainment' - again, the latter largely as a result of Busted covering it for a B-side.
