An article here which mentions 14 songs that have been confirmed/heavily rumoured to have been passed up on by Rihanna. I won't copy/paste the whole article here but the 14 songs mentioned are:

Jordin Sparks - Battlefield
Ian Brown - Stellify
Cheryl - Happy Hour
Drake - Find Your Love
Jessie J - Do It Like A Dude
Usher ft. Pitbull - DJ Got Us Fallin' In Love
Selena Gomez - Come & Get It
Rita Ora ft. Tinie Tempah - R.I.P.
Miley Cyrus - We Can't Stop
Pitbull ft. Ke$ha - Timber
Joel Compass - Run
Sia - Chandelier
Beyoncé - Pretty Hurts
Grimes ft. Blood Diamonds - Go

Do you think Rihanna/her team made good decisions to pass on these tracks? Personally I'd love to hear her take on 'Pretty Hurts' ohmy.gif

I'd have loved her singing Come & Get It, Pretty Hurts, RIP and especially Do It Like A Dude!

Battlefield though ohmy.gif I'm glad Jordin got that one as it's one of my absolute favourite songs ever.

I would probably have liked to hear her version of Do It Like A Dude. Not sure how DJ Got Us Falling In Love would be like though (an amazing track I think only Usher would have done well imo)

As for CAGI I think Selena would've still done it better. And I don't think RIP would've been better with Ri either.

I probably would've preferred a Ri version of WCS though. No idea about Timber though, indifferent. As for Chandelier it would probably sound very good but not as good as Sia's voice in it tongue.gif

I'd love to see her try and pull off 'Chandelier'.

I'm pretty sure most of these are false though, as they always are.

well I'm glad she passed these, either because the song doesn't suit her or cos it's shet (i.e. Battlefield, Come & Get It, We Can't Stop)

not heard all of these songs though.

Almost all of these songs are terrible. The only one that is not terrible is 'Chandelier' but that has been played to death and I don't think Rihanna would've pulled it off.

So yeah, I'm happy that, for whatever reason, Rihanna didn't end up recording them.

in other news, Rihanna turned down 'Lean On'. Would've been interesting to hear her on that track.

Interesting yes. I think I would still have preferred the original though.

The fact that she passed on one of the best songs of the year, says a lot about her current "taste", or lack of. Lean >>> any thing she's put out in the past few years.

She probably passed on it because Diplo is a dick.

Rihanna has been lucky in the past anyway, with other artists rejecting 'We Found Love' and 'Umbrella'. It can happen again laugh.gif

I think Lean On is a song that really could only be MŘ. But then again it's easy to say that when all you know is the original, it would have been interesting to hear it with Rihanna on vocals.
