He seems like a really nice guy. I don't really get the hate.

His ego isn't particularly larger than any of the pop divas around. He is one of the only Hip-Hop rappers that has been openly accepted of gays pre-2010 whereas figures like Jay-Z & co have only in the last couple of years.

He's a very attractive man. He's one of Hip-Hops greats. Whats the issue? Hes a sweet young man in my eyes.

Because hubris is not an endearing quality, and turns into "hate" when it's not backed up with the quality of the output subjectively.

Fishsticks and Taylor Swift probably were the last straw before a general opinion of dislike.

He's an arrogant c**t. That's why people don't like him.

He thinks he is gods gift to music and in reality he is not that special.

I really don't know. Kanye is a God (his own words and mine).
Greatest living rockstar on the planet without a doubt!

Jealousy, of course. Probably from other artists as well, who else out there could get GOD himself to feature on their record?

Kanye is amazing - I love this music so, so much. I think he's hugely talented and creative and gets it right so often for me. However, there is a sense of delusion and egotism/crazy that I can understand puts people off. Saying he was the 'greatest living rockstar of all time' at Glastonbury is eye-rollingly silly.

But Kanye has never done anything to offend me - he's never been homophobic or as mysochinist as other rappers/RnB stars and has certainly never beaten any women up to my knowledge. Ahem.

Biggest twat in music bar none (ok maybe bar Chris Brown).

But I always let the music speak louder than the artist behind so it doesn't put me off his songs luckily.

I think Kanye is more talented, but I like lots more Chris songs that Kanye songs, personally. Oops.

I do think he has loads of talent, but I just don't like his arrogance at all. That's the main offputting point for me, as well as the fact I don't much care for his music. He has a few good features but I can count the number of solo songs I like of his on one hand! That's of course subjective though.

He's not a horrible person, but everything about him oozes self-indulgence, his Glasto performance in particular. I don't have a problem with it, in fact I've come to enjoy it, it's certainly unique and he knows how to get people talking about him, but I can never quite see beyond that to see an actual person. He remains a bit of an enigma to me.

He's very love/hate, and I think he's very happy to stay that way.

Yeah, including how his Bound 2 was quite awful. He is a great rapper but Chris Brown seems to be in better songs smile.gif

I don't doubt Kanye has not got the amount of artistry to make a modern classic such as Five More Hours.

He has an awful personality and to make things worse, I haven't liked a single song of his since about 2007. And people keep telling me he's awesome and I'm just not seeing or hearing it.

Well for me it is because of the Taylor Swift incident at the VMAs. Obviously looking back it isn't such a big deal as Taylor has gone onto a new level and has got so many awards since, but back then it was one of her first ever major awards I think and for Kanye to completely ruin that moment for her was unforgivable and we weren't to know if that was going to be the peak of her career.
