An appreciation thread for one of the most iconic series of books ever. Fairly sure most of us would have enjoyed these books when we were younger? If not you sorely missed out and it's never too late to check them out. I was very obsessed and would get a new book weekly before eventually completing the collection and reading them until the pages tore out and the books became a STATE. Must invest in a brand new collection for my bookshelf wub.gif

Which was your favourite book/character? Are there any Mr Men & Little Miss naysayers ? Did you watch the TV series too? DISCUSS~

A reminder of the entire collection:

I can't really remember the actual stories to a great extent though, I think Mr MessyT was my favourite though!

My siblings and I had all those Mr Men (although I can remember when they stopped at Mr Slow) and a few Little Miss but they weren't as good.

1 Mr Jelly
2 Mr Noisy
3 Mr Snow
4 Mr Greedy
5 Mr Bump

I also remember the show and I used to have Mr Happy and Mr Tickle t-shirts.

I used to be terrified of the Mr Uppity book and character in general sad.gif The weird tree thing he went to (iirc) was too warped for my innocent little mind.

Mr Sneeze was the first one i owned so i have fond memories of that. Mr Clumsy was a big favourite, as were Topsy-Turvy, Muddle and Worry so basically the misfits. The Mr Daydream story was magical too <3

Literally my childhood, I had all the books in a little collection and had a few of the videos for the TV shows (both the one with the old school visual retelling of the books and the Mr Men and Little Miss show that came a bit later), think they've been sold now :'( My favourite was Mr Topsy Turvy I think, him, Mr Sneeze or Mr Bump.

Also the theme to the original Mr Men show was SO GOOD plus the narration of Arthur Lowe:

Omg these books were everything. I watched the TV show too, I cannot remember which one it was but there was an entire episode revolved around one of the gals misplacing her lottery ticket, the struggle was real.

I also had one of the computer games! 'The Adventures of Miss Scatterbrain' ~ she was Bonquiqui encapsulated in a cartoon character a hoot.

Bal, those heels speak for themselves kink.gif

in all honesty though, Little Miss Chatterbox and Mr Snow were my favourites in the collection. Although I do love a Mr Bump plaster now and again!

Great series, had all the books!

Mr. Impossible clearly bosses all of the others though. Was the final one I got to complete the set mind so could be what edges it tongue.gif

I love them so much and read them all when I was younger, also watched a lot of the tv episodes wub.gif
My favourites were Mr Hapoy and Little Miss Sunshine/Chatterbox. We had 3 teachers who gave us mr men books at the end of year reflecting our personalities (Year 1, 3 and 6) and I got little miss chatterbox book every single time laugh.gif

I still think I have most of my books somewhere wub.gif
