Mmmm toast. Everyone loves this uniquely British food. Are you a fan of toast? What are your favourite toppings? I am quite partial to Marmite and scrambled eggs on toast (not together though, that would be crazy. Or would it? Hmmm). Do you have any amusing toast-related anecdotes to share? Discuss all things toasty in this BRAND NEW hit Lounge thread.

(No Captain Hotknives reference intended).

Two slices of toast, no butter, with 2 rashers of bacon and lots of ketchup between. Lovely. Make that two of those.

Toast is nice but often I'm not in the right mood for it, I never eat it for breakfast because my mouth is always too dry but I usually eat it about 8pm in front of the Tv as a snack which is maybe not the most healthy idea to eat toast pretty much every day.

Favourite topping has to be Marmite, I'm definitely on the love side, Marmite and cheese is even a better combination on toast if none of you Marmite fans have tried it. Starbucks to the best Marmite and cheese toasties in the world and I wish there was more of them than Costas here sad.gif I also like a bit of jam and peanut butter just like the 'muricans, honestly you should all try it first even though it sounds like an odd combo.

I agree with pretty much everything here. My mouth is always too dry when I eat toast for breakfast and it makes me feel a bit sick and full so I avoid it. In general I prefer to just have a piece of fruit in the morning. Nothing heavy.

Love marmite too! Especially with melted cheese. omg that is amazing. The trick is of course to put a very very thin layer of marmite on the piece of toast otherwise you will die from over-marmite-ness.

Jam and peanut butter too wub.gif Amazing.
