Does anyone else have this? I have had this for a year but it's never been as bad as the last week/few days.

I have always had ear problems and developing tinnitus has always been a fear of mine so naturally it turned into reality after developing an ear infection after getting water in my ear from going down a water slide mellow.gif (stay safe kids). Still not sure if it's a result from the infection or from the ear drops used to treat the infection (although I should've known better than to put something in my already quite bad ears).

I wish I could wish it away or tell it to SHOO especially during the night but alas I have to live with it.

It sounds terrifying but surely there must be ear drops?

In Forever listening to music with my headphones in and recently I've been noticing that continuous tone in my ear for like five mins just randomly on any day. Then when everything goes slightly quieter in one ear I literally shat myself. Well not literally.

I have it when I return from a night out sometimes but I doubt that counts

Tbf during the schoolyear I had a lot of distraction so didn't really notice it unless it was quiet. I'm just scared to death it'll get worse.

There's not really a treatment for it unfortunately and they don't know really what causes it either.

I think that's normal so no worries!

I'm guessing you've been transferred to an ENT ward?

I've had it since 2009. It was horrible to begin with but sadly there is no treatment/cure. I just live with it and barely notice it anymore.
