US country singer Lynn Anderson, best known for her 1971 UK No.3 hit Rose Garden, has died after suffering a heart attack in hospital in Nashville.

sad news, I was a big fan of Rose Garden when it was fresh and new, and even I Beg Your Pardon in the 80's.

I'm into old style country and have two of her CD's. She had many more US country hits. 67 is no age these days.

Hi Alex, Lynn and Cilla both got more cover in The Lounge, and Lynn had one already on here (now merged) but I may well re-chart Rose Garden just because it's been a looooong time since it charted and I loved it to bits when I was 13!
