In the same (well, opposite) vein as Lee's thread. Which singles do you think have been the worst this year?

Here's some of the ones I've found most annoying:

Leona Lewis - Fire Under My Feet
Wiz Khalifa - See You Again
Charlie Puth & Meghan Trainor - Marvin Gaye
Avicii - Waiting For Love
Rachel Platten - Fight Song
Jess Glynne - Hold My Hand
Sam Feldt - Show Me Love

Now watch me whip :/

I don't often dislike a song as I usually just have the 'it's not for me' kind of opinion. So forgive me but this is the only one I think of now!

Sam Smith ones are boring but I don't hate them really. Some are fairly good, but Lay Me Down and Bond theme are sneezable. Stay With Me used to be good but now it just sounds like 'STAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY with me' instead of (in a nice calm relaxing tone) 'stayyy with me'

Easily 'Watch Me (Whip / Nae Nae)' or 'Marvin Gaye' - horrendous.

The title of worst song for me easily goes to Peanut Butter Jelly by Galantis. Completely irritating and has absolutely nothing good about it for me. Trap Queen and Watch Me (Whip / Nae Nae) are terrible too.

'Show Me Love' is probably the worst of the year for the sheer SACRILEGE of taking such a classic and milking it of all the life it had, with 'Marvin Gaye' and both versions of 'Lay Me Down' up there as well. To add something that hasn't already been said, I've always found Echosmith's 'Cool Kids' quite unsettling lyrically on top of being a piss poor imitation of Paramore at their worst. So that too.

Also they're hardly the worst songs of the year but the charts have been dominated most of the year by some of the most bland Capital FM pandering pop imaginable. Bringing 'Black Magic' in here again ~ along with 'Want To Want Me', 'Love Me Like You Do' etc.

Definitely wins the prize for most unnecessary addition of birdsong.

I think of the landfill dance there has been this year, the 152nd cover of “Ain't Nobody (Loves Me Better)” was pretty awful/soul destroying.

Chris Brown Ft Tyga- Ayo
Skrillplober- Where R U Now
R. City Ft Adam Levine- Locked Away
Sam Smith Ft John Legend A.K.A Chart Murderers- Lay Me Down
Avicii- Waiting For Love
Fetty Wrap- Trap Queen
Sam Fedlt- Show Me Love
A couple of other ones i'm forgetting that are possibly even worse but these songs would all be the worst song after that hideous all of me if released last year (apart from maybe Avicii).

And the number 1 crown goes to Fall Out Boy for the utterly horrifying American Beauty/American Psycho

EDIT: Silento- Watch Me was the other disaster I couldn't remember, that's the 2nd worse after FOB

Oh I had cleansed Ayo from my mind, that's AWFUL also. And yeah, the Show Me Love cover is truly lifeless and pointless imo. I do rather like the Ain't Nobody cover, it has more of a spark to it I think.

Oh I agree with 'American Beauty / American Psycho' as well, I actually liked the rest of the singles from the album but that one is dreadful.

My first choice is Usher's "I Don't Mind", but "Hold Back The Vomit" takes a very close second.

Oh yeah I echo the Lay Me Down John Legend statements.
