Who loves to eat duck then? I love it but it's rather expensive. Easily now my fave meat/poultry. Always on the look out for it reduced. We always have it when we have chinese, with the pancakes etc.

Have now found some Gressingham duck, plum sauce and spring onion flavour Kettle chips and they're on offer for £1.25 in Sainsbury's for 150g. Really taste duck too.

One of my morning dog-walking friends refuses to even try it as she says she couldn't bear to be eating one of those cute little fluffy ducks that swim on lakes and ponds. rolleyes.gif

I'm with Jade, I was hoping for lots of images and facts about ducks here sleep.gif

i only really like duck in those little pancake things with the soy sauce, spring onions etc, I've tried it other ways and I just don't like it at all which is a bit weird when I like the crispy stuff, guess its not as strongly flavoured or something laugh.gif

Crispy duck YES! I didn't think I'd ever eaten duck before, but this has reminded me that I actually have (and i LOVE it kink.gif).

But aside from cripsy duck (which doesn't count of course), how can anyone eat these cute animals ohmy.gif sob.gif x

In the same way that I have no problem eating fluffy lambs (although I do generally insist that the fluffy bits are removed).

a duck walks into a bar. Says to the barman, "got any bread?"

"No" replies the barman, "we don't do food, just beer."

"oh", says the duck all disappointed, and he waddles off and out the door.

*****

next day, same duck, same bar.

"Got any bread?" he enquacks.

"No. I told you yesterday we don't serve food. Just beer!" he retorts tersely.

"Oh." says the duck all forlorn, and waddles out.

*****

next day, same duck, yet again same bar.

"Got any bread?"

"NO! I've told you twice already, we DON"T SERVE FOOD! If you come in hear again asking for bread I"m going to nail your annoying beak to the bloody bar! Good day!"

"Oh." sighs the duck, sadly, and waddles off.

*****

Next day, same duck, same bar, same barman. The barman tenses up.

"Got a hammer?" asks the duck.

"NO!" shouts the barman.

The duck continues, "Oh. Got any bread?"

now thats how I like my ducks. a bit stroppy and getting one over the nasty humans. tongue.gif

In what may or may not have been subconsciously related to this thread, I have ordered two new ducks. Bauhaus Duck and Spiffy Duck. wub.gif
