Any chance we could get a bonus retro this week? With it's comparisons to this weeks chart, it would be interesting to see the Bleeding Love vs. Rule The World epic sales week from 2007

Biography
Elena Jane "Ellie" Goulding (born 30 December 1986) is an English singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Lyonshall, Herefordshire. Her career began when she met record producer Starsmith and Frankmusik, and she was later spotted by Jamie Lillywhite, who later became her manager and A&R. After signing to Polydor Records in July 2009, Goulding released her debut extended play, An Introduction to Ellie Goulding, later that year.

In 2010, she became the second artist to both top the BBC's annual Sound of... poll and win the Critics' Choice Award at the Brit Awards in the same year. Goulding released her debut studio album, Lights, in 2010. The album debuted at number one on the UK Albums Chart and has sold over 850,000 copies in the UK. Her cover of Elton John's "Your Song" reached number two in the UK in December 2010 and on 29 April 2011 she performed the song at the wedding reception of Prince William and Catherine Middleton at Buckingham Palace. The album's title track, "Lights", was released in the US in March 2011, and peaked at number two on the Billboard Hot 100 and was certified triple platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

Goulding's second album Halcyon was released in October 2012, "Anything Could Happen" preceded the album as the lead single. Halcyon debuted at number two on the UK Albums Chart, and, after 65 weeks, reached number one. Halcyon debuted at number nine on the Billboard 200 Chart, her first top ten debut in the United States. Halcyon Days, a repackaged edition of Halcyon, was released on 23 August 2013, it included new singles including "Burn", which became her first UK number-one single in the same month. At the 2014 BRIT Awards she received the award for Best British Female. By the end of 2013, she has sold an estimated 4 million albums and 15 million singles worldwide.

Biography
Panic! at the Disco (stylized for a time as Panic at the Disco) is an American rock band from Las Vegas, Nevada, formed in 2004 and featuring the current lineup of vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Brendon Urie.

Founded by childhood friends Ryan Ross, Spencer Smith, Brent Wilson and Brendon Urie, Panic! at the Disco recorded its first demos while its members were in high school. Shortly after, the band recorded and released its debut studio album, A Fever You Can't Sweat Out (2005). Made known by the top ten lead single, "I Write Sins Not Tragedies", the album eventually was certified double platinum in the US. In 2006, founding bassist Brent Wilson was fired from the band during an extensive world tour, and subsequently replaced by Jon Walker.

Influenced by 1960s rock bands the Beatles, the Zombies and the Beach Boys, and preceded by the hit single, "Nine in the Afternoon", the band's second studio album, Pretty. Odd. (2008), marked a significant departure from the sound of the band's debut, and ultimately led to the departure of guitarist and principal songwriter Ryan Ross and bassist Jon Walker, who favored the band's new direction. The duo subsequently formed a new band, the Young Veins, leaving Brendon Urie and Spencer Smith as the sole remaining members of Panic! at the Disco.

Continuing as a duo, the band released a new single, "New Perspective", and recruited Dallon Weekes (bass) and Ian Crawford (guitar) to accompany the band during live performances. The band's third studio album, Vices & Virtues (2011), marked a return to the band's initial Vaudevillian pop-punk sound and was recorded solely by Urie and Spencer with producers John Feldmann and Butch Walker.

In 2012, the band added touring bassist Weekes to its core lineup, rendering the band a three-piece, and released its fourth studio album, Too Weird to Live, Too Rare to Die!, in 2013.

In 2015, founding member Spencer Smith officially left the band. Bassist Dallon Weekes was also downgraded to touring member once again, leaving Brendon Urie as the only member of the official lineup. On April 20, 2015, the band released "Hallelujah" as the first single from their fifth studio album. The fifth album Death of a Bachelor is due out worldwide January 15, 2016.

2014

5- DON’T TELL EM- Jeremih Ft YG (30,944) amazing that this was such a hit, definitely one of Mustard's best beats and the Snap inspired hook is really good
6- WICKED GAMES- Parra For Curva Ft Anna Naklab (30,476) makes for a nice listen but I didn't majorly love this, there's so many better deep house songs

2010

1- PROMISE THIS- Cheryl Cole (157,210) this was great, shame it's largely forgotten now
2- ONLY GIRL (IN THE WORLD)- Rihanna (126,612) amazing sales for a #2 debut, I do remember this chart battle very well actually - and deservedly this would later climb to #1 heart.gif
5- COOLER THAN ME- Mike Posner (50,025) this was a jam music.gif

2005

1- YOU RAISE ME UP- Westlife (97,288) this is one of their few listenable/memorable songs, yay for Westlife making at least one of those! those are great sales for 2005 too

1995

1- GANGSTA’ S PARADISE- Coolio Ft LV (166,000) this is quite the tune, definitely one of the 90s defining hits so not surprised at those massive sales (and in its 2nd week too!!)

'Gangsta's Paradise' is one of few 90s hip hop tracks that I really really love; I think I can sing along to the whole song now! tongue.gif Shame it was robbed of 5 non-consecutive weeks at #1 by Robson & Jerome. dry.gif

That Spice Girls song was crap, why did they change from what was a winning-formula sound for them in the 90s to something that really didn't work?
