Each year the debate rages on between the correct people and Joseph over which of the following 2 songs is better:
'Fairytale Of New York' sells more nearly every year and usually charts higher as well (though often lags behind in the early weeks before overtaking closer to Christmas), but there's no doubting 'All I Want For Christmas Is You' is, for some reason, on par with it as far as Christmas classics go. The chart forum ran this poll last year and it was a very close run race, but ultimately The Pogues deservedly won out by a vote of 69 to 65, despite a last minute attempt to rig it by JosephStyles and his devious minions. But how will BuzzJack collectively vote this year? Have your voice heard. And no, 'One More Sleep' is not worthy of being listed alongside these 2. As much as I'd love to include it and split the 'it's by a female so it's better than The Pogues' vote and ensure a Pogues win. They can win this fair and square as last year proved. |

As you may be able to tell, I'm a little biased towards Mariah.
(In all seriousness Mariah's song is ALRIGHT IN CONTEXT, and certainly very festive, but it's not something I'd actually ever choose to listen to, whereas The Pogues' is one of my favourite songs ever let alone Christmas songs, so very easy choice ~) |

Both are amazing songs but The Pogues just about for me. I like the variety in the song.

it's fairly obvious that I prefer Fairytale Of New York, as I have functioning ears.
(AIWFCIY is also one of my faves but FONY is easily the better of the two) |

'Fairytale Of New York' sells more nearly every year and usually charts higher as well because it's reduced to 19p on Google Play (though often lags behind in the early weeks before overtaking closer to Christmas), but there's no doubting 'All I Want For Christmas Is You' is, for some reason, on par with it as far as Christmas classics go and not above it. The chart forum ran this poll last year and it was a very close run race, but ultimately The Pogues undeservedly won out by a vote of 69 to 65, despite a last minute attempt to rig it by myself and my devious minions. But how will BuzzJack collectively vote this year? Have your voice heard. And no, 'One More Sleep' is not worthy of being listed alongside these 2. As much as I'd love to include it and split the 'it's by a female so it's better than The Pogues' vote and ensure a Mariah win. She can win this fair and square to right the wrongs of last year. This Mariah stanning *.* |

Tough choice, both are incredible but Mariah edges it.
Wizzard trounces both of them though |

For some unfathomable reason the two best Christmas songs (by far) are the two that do best in the charts. I am a firm fan of both and would listen to either of them at any time of the year.

Difficult choice. Mariah is certainly a great Christmas pop song but the Pogues track is a classic smash. I really like both equally the same but in different ways.
