What is the worst Christmas song that you've heard or listened or thought were completely naff?

This is a prime example:

This from Paul Holt in 2004, he wrote a song about getting 50 grand for Christmas from Simon Cowell if this reached #1. It didn't it got to #35. This was completely horrible.

Yay finally another new thread biggrin.gif

I like/love most of the well known Christmas songs each year. It'd be difficult to name any I don't like or hate as most if not all of them aren't memorable or popular enough to remember.

But Katy Perry's one was a little dissapointing I may add.

EDIT: I just remembered I used to find the Paul McCartney - Wonderful Christmastime song annoying laugh.gif but not so much any more.

Wham!'s 'Last Christmas' is probably my least favourite of the ones you hear every year. (Yes, Mariah's is better!!1)

I can't think of any of major Christmas classics that I dislike. (If you hate Last Christmas/All I Want For Christmas Is You, you have no soul sleep.gif)

I guess if 'Do You Want To Build A Snowman' counts as a Christmas song (it's on the new NOW compilation) then I hate that

Band Aid II - Do They Know It's Christmas as a song is awful, the first one's a classic and 20 at least tried something different in sound (can't really defend 30 though kink.gif). This one just sounds like a pale imitation with weird changes to the structure of the song, bad :/ (though for a good cause).

Christmas songs in general though are amaze, no scrooges plz happy.gif (though strictly only between 1st and the 24th of December)

YESSS! It seems the UK public are getting tired of it too, seeing as it's right towards the bottom of the tracks on iTunes.

I also REALLY HATE (like, yeah, THAT MUCH) 'Wonderful Christmas Time' by Sir Paul McCarthy. Such a lifeless melody and tune, for something which is obviously meant to be quite joyous (if that makes sense) Horrific.

Agreed on Do You Want To Skip The Song sleep.gif why it was released as a downloadable single eligible to chart is an unfortunate mystery.

'I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus' has always been a bit jarring. Thank gawd it's not one of the main lot that get hammered each year.

Nat King Cole Chestnuts Roasting (Actually called The Christmas Song) is a fantastic song IMO sounds so Christmassy without being Christmassy sounding if you get me lol.

Of the perennial favourites, I really can't stand Paul McCartney's Wonderful Christmastime. It just drives me insane.

Of the ones that thankfully don't turn up every year, the ultimate stinker is Give You One for Christmas by Hot Pantz. Cheap and tacky in every way possible.
