Does anyone know the difference between these froots? Pretty sure I spent decades not evening knowing anything existed other than oranges and thought they were all the same thing.

I have since learnt that oranges are the big ones that you suck? and the rest.. still all blur into the same thing. Is there anyway of telling the difference? Do you have a favourite? smile.gif And where does Adam'sSatsuma☺ fit into this? unsure.gif

The satsuma's nickname of "Christmas orange" comes from its history as a Christmas treat in Britain.

Clementines are the small ones that are really easy to peel. Very loose skin. Much pleasure! I call those mandarins though, not sure what the difference is exactly. "Orange" is generally used to refer to the big ones, although I think it is also the general name for all of the varieties.

I absolutely love mandarins they are much nicer than oranges, i remember i use to bring them to school for the 10.15 break instead of biscuits when i was 4-6 years old.

That's the thing though, I don't think you actually peel oranges? You cut them into slices and suck, no? unsure.gif Can someone confirm this please because if not, then the only thing I thought I knew about these is wrong :/

Clementines wink.gif I tend to avoid the ones that are a bitch to peel, it's just a pain.

I peel all oranges, break up the slices with my fingers and into my mouth they go laugh.gif A lot of people do cut them which is understandable, but I tend to just peel them with my hands always.

They all taste good tho

Literally all fruit wub.gif

If it's big I slice it

If it's small I peel it

apart from that I literally can not tell the difference at all, they all just taste the same to me

this is getting interesting

never knew people cut their oranges into slices.. like I've always peeled anything orange-looking. feel you're only getting juice if you're sucking on a slice rather than all the actual good bit
