hi.gif

I reluctantly signed up to the work Secret Santa and i'm now v regretting it Lol. I picked out a random cleaner who i've spoken to ~twice~ and know nothing about (and neither do my friends so I can't even go to them). Does anyone have any ideas of what to give a 40-something year old man as a gift for Christmas? :S I'm really struggling and can't even change the name or do a swap because it's all being done legit and above board by one of the teachers cry.gif WHAT DO I GET HIM / how do I secretly find out what he's into?

Also share random stories about Secret Santas you've been involved in if you wish ~

Alcohol or something boob related.

I did SS as a whole class last year and I was the only one who got nothing since the fuddy duddy who got me forgot. So this year we are limiting to our little group of 5 close pals. I have the quiet one of the group so have no idea what to buy her drama.gif prbably going for something car related since she recently passed her test. Or maybe a small sketchpad since she is always drawing.

Two people with the same answer instantly *.*.... but he seems like the last person on the planet to be interested in candles laugh.gif (so i'm guessing I can expect candles as a gift for myself if the person who has me doesn't me heehee.gif)

I was thinking some alcohol would work but i'd have to find out what/if he drinks first thinking.gif

Yeah something car related would be good and shows that you're aware she passed and have taken interest in that. Maybe combine the two ideas and get a car sketchpad *_* (or not)

Chocolate and alcohol seems a safe bet so far. A little... tame but I guess I don't know him to take a risk on the present. I'll try and do some snooping and see if something else comes up.

In our friendship group I pulled one of my best friends names so that was easy cheer.gif

For the gift for the caretaker just get something generic which you can't really go wrong with laugh.gif tin of quality streets and some alcohol sounds like a good option wink.gif Or maybe a nice christmas decoration or something? biggrin.gif (For someone who works in a gift shop I'm quite bad at this lmaoo)

laugh.gif That was actually my first thought when I picked out his name. Might be quite rude though, i'm sure there's more to him than just cleaning!!1

Something gadgety might be expensive though :S (that's the other thing - no idea what the budget is if anything, so don't want to be too lavish). I could ask around and see how much others are spending to get an idea. I'm hopeless at choosing gifts for people I know very well, let alone for strangers sob.gif
