Mon: Work, pick up some last minute gifts
Tues: Work
Wed: Work
Christmas Eve: Work - On Call; Head to my Parents
Christmas: At my parents, Dinner at my Grandparents

I volunteered to work this week so my three other team members could have time off. I'm a contractor so if I didn't work I wouldn't be paid.
A little worried - I have a large portfolio & I'm everyone's out of office but I've stopped booking meetings after today so I can handle things as they come up.
I thought we would be closed Christmas Eve, but we're not. I'm just going to be on call but probably won't have much to do, I'm hoping. At least I can work at home/remotely.

Shoulda been having my ear re-shaping surgery today had the hoes at the company not messed everything up. Now Christmas shopping is out the way, time to chill until the big day itself *.* will probably meet up with sixth form friends this week now everyone's home from Uni.

But yeah as for Christmas day itself it'll be a huge family day at home! Present opening / food / TOTP and other Christmas TV / board games (Trivial pursuit especially *.*). Very excited! cheer.gif

Wednesday: Star Wars 7 *.*

It really is amazing *.* fully deserving of all the hype its getting, and I'm not even a huge Star Wars fan (I do need to rewatch the rest of the original trilogy soon though, I've done Episode IV so far which was great)

Mon: Sleeping/recovering from working long hours over the last several days (I've a job at the moment in the Events department of a hotel which has been hectic with Xmas party bookings over the last month). Can't be bothered cooking for myself so am currently awaiting the delivery of a Christmas-themed pizza from Domino's *.*.*.*.*.*
Tues: Planning presents for people via some online research so I don't spend hours wandering aimlessly around overcrowded shops like most years + working in the afternoon + tidying flat + packing.
Wed: Flying to Dublin early in the morning (really grateful to my boss for reluctantly giving me the time off to go home) + hopefully finally starting gift-buying with the help of my Mum + eating proper home-cooked dinners omgomgomg.
Xmas Eve: Most likely another trip to the shops to pick up last minute things + watching movies and the like with parents and brothers. <3
Xmas Day: Morning mass + heading over to aunt and uncle's house for dinner and festivities~

SO excited to go home and spend time with family and friends, particularly at this time of year as I completely lap up all the traditions and food etc. wub.gif Also a bit bothered though as I really need to call in to the parents of my friend who passed away recently and am nervous about the conversation being very upsetting, so am hoping another friend can go too. My Mum had the idea of sketching a portrait of him for his family as we were both talented at art in school/went to extra classes together so it could be quite special (and possibly cathartic for myself), but that could literally take me days as I'm so out of practice and would want to get it right...so I don't know if I'll get a chance. :/

I have had one day off, but i'm returning to my retail job for the next 3 days to get a bit of Christmas hours drama.gif I do need the money though.

On Christmas day, same as last year, the family are driving down to see my brother and spend Christmas with him (although this time I don't think we can take the dog because he is due his next bout of seizures very soon cry.gif). We'll just spoil him rotten throughout the rest of the holidays when we're home to make up for it~

Monday: Work, watch Buzzjack awards, meeting, and *hopefully* my last round of Christmas shopping
Tuesday: Work and hopefully getting everything ready to wrap, trying not to make this a last-minute scramble as usual
Wednesday: Work, pick up brother from the airport, dinner with extended family and then probably gift wrapping
Christmas Eve: Lunch out with my faves, dinner and presents with Mom's side of the family and church service at night
Christmas Day: Lunch and presents with Dad's side of the family, then my family hosts dinner and games on Christmas night
