I still call it "dinner" rather than tea, because it is obviously not the same as a "cup" of tea laugh.gif

Dinner is actually tea. Lunchtime is dinner, obviously.

yes yes all the maps give me all the maps.

Although that tea/dinner one has got to be wrong, I can't believe the inferior word is that dominant. Give me a couple of dinner exclaves scattered around the SW please.

There's no pie around my area how depressing. Somewhere in between rasher pudding and English pasty (neither of which I have ever eaten)

I stick to the stereotype in my area and have a cornish pasty on a regular occasion tongue.gif It's usually steak but sometimes I like to have a chicken pasty.

No idea what a full English pasty is though ohmy.gif unless it's like that traditional bacon and egg meal put into a pasty? In that case I'm not interested laugh.gif

I just assumed full English pasties were the inferior Devonian variants of a normal pasty. But apparently that is what they are. I've never heard of them.

This one is particularly interesting as it shows that English is almost the only European language to call a pineapple anything like a pineapple

And the words for cucumber are all over the place
