We all have our moments of brilliance and glory, and this was mine

First out is the second autobiography written by Dahl. First published in 1986 it is the continuation of 'Boy' and focuses on his voyage to Africa. His life as a soldier is revealed and the autibiography is written with the same wit and charm as all of his more well known stories. The title refers to his entry into adulthood and while many of his books focus on childhood and childhood innocence, there is still a lot of that to be found in this. It got an overwhelming proportion of the votes and becomes the first casualty.

And in a double elimination, Buzzjack proves that we are here for FICTION and not the non-fiction of Dahl's biographies. 'Boy' focuses on Dahl growing up and experiencing childhood in Britain in the 20s and 30s. A tragic book at times with Dahl's family's history and some of his experiences at school but on the whole it's a brilliant introduction to the boy behind the author. I am thinking it was the fiction that has stayed in our hearts for longer, but this is a fantastic read nonetheless and just shows the strength of these polls!

It's another double elimination next make sure you vote! Multiple choice, choose your two least favourite~ Deadline: Saturday 30th January

15. Boy: Tales of Childhood (17 votes, 19.32%)
16. Going Solo (23 votes, 26.14%)
